I remember when 3rd ed. rolled around I picked up 6 of the 2nd ed. screamer-killers for $5 a pop. Wish I would have saved them to use for tyrant guard.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Tyranids appeared in Rogue Trader, but in a much cruder form, there were Screamer Killers (Carnifex) and Termagants, Zoats and Squig Swarms. Why are squigs working with the Tyranids?? Genestealer Cults were much better defined under Rogue Trader.

Hmm... I actually have that issue of WD which has the original Rogue Trader Tyranid army list. I should do a retro-review of that.

Mwahahaha! I have 4!

I do love the old Tyranid models. Oddly I don't have any of the old Biovores. I don't have any of the current Biovores either for that matter... or the Gorilla Gorilla 3rd Ed ones.

Had my favourite line iirc in the tactics - 'all the rocks and tree's are your friends' made funnier by the fact the guy who lpayed them at school was really unpopular, but we were able to tell him they'd be his friends.

Oh to be a kid and mean!

But seriously nice trip down memory lane

I rember all this,,, I loved playing it b/c you had so many choises to make on how to build you army.

You could play to have fun or make a kill army that was not so much fun but got the job done. I played Eldar for the most part back then and had 2 army list with me. One for haveing funa and one for winning

Lets have fun

So have I...somewhere. Actually I picked up a stack of White Dwarfs free in a charity shop, I gave them a couple of quid for them all the same, and I had a few issues that fill some gaps but a couple of them contain the two halves of the genestealer cults article.

Another favourite item was the squat list and the rules for trainee Commissar units!
