I believe that they do not have rules as of yet.
Which is great, as I'm planning on using them to test out a modified fantasy wargame I've wanted to work on.

Mantic Games is owned an run by Ronnie Renton, a former Big Cheese with GW. The majority of sculpting of the plastics has been done by Bob Naismith, a former GW sculptor of many years.
In an interview on the Socal.Warhammer podcast, Ronnie explained that he was releasing these fantasy ranges (apparently Dwarves will be next after the Undead, thence, wherever...) he hoped to reintroduce the fun of large games into fantasy wargaming - hence his leveraging of the plastics technology to reduce price rather than inflate margins (somewhat of a dig at his former employer I thought...)
He also bemoaned the lack of innovation in the fantasy wargaming hobby hitherto, and I for one welcome his "innovations" such as releasing models in packaging that can double as a carry case with foam!
His business model therefore seems excellent from my POV. Although the sculpting on the elves wasn't to my taste, so not everything is rosy.
If and when I am in the market for a mass-battle fantasy game, I can see some of these undead finding their way into the ranks. At 50p or less per figure, that's a fine price for 2009!

It's a crying shame they don't make them bigger.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

I for one wish them all the luck possible. The product appears to be quite good. I also hope that when they make the actual game itself that they move away from "UGOIGO" mechanic that GW seems to have buttsecks with constantly. I hate 'playing' games where I can go visit grandma while my opponent is taking his turn. Interleaved turn structures are definitely the way to go.
Do you have any more information about this stuff, Osbad? If so, please share if you are able.
I am greatly interested in any alternative that can make GW sweat.
Thanks for the heads up, Dead Kennedy. Great username by the way.

I think with the skeletons the smaller scale won't be a big a difference or as noticeable.
Would like to see how these look painted and ranked up but might be a good option for filling out units.

You wanna see some painted? Here ya go?
How's that?
You can see a bit more if you follow the link below. I only got these last week. 12.50 for 21 skellies is pretty durned good if you ask me.
The good:
Nice detail, loads of extras on the sprues so you can do a bit of customisation.
The bad:
Shields moulded on most units, some mild mould lines and minor flash. Slightly smaller than GW, but a lot 'earthier'.

While it's nice to see some painted shots, these guys aren't really news at this point, so this thread can be laid to rest... Feel free to post you pics over in painting and modelling, though.
