Ok. The moment you have all been waiting for. Some painted pics. These are actually not quite finished, I just washed them. I'm going to go back over a few spots that I don't like (Like the commander's face). Plus, I need to find a way to get some red on those beastmen, to tie them in better with the troops that will be wearing armor. I have a plan to mix cadian chestplates with catachan legs for the sergeants, but i need something else. Anyway, here ya go!

the catachan 'roid arms work really well with the beastmen heads - very nice!

It's a mixed force, and because I like the models!

It's going to be Chimera heavy, with a Vendetta for extra awesomeness!

Likewise. I'm looking forward to a bunch of great games. If I get enough done, I might even do one of the other events besides the team tourney.

Loving the beastman conversions- you've made the legs look really great, and it's those details that make it believable.

Gotta give one piece of criticism, though: All the hard work that you've put into making the beastmen look like they are actually semi-modern is sort of spoiled by the inclusion of the unmodified IG stormtrooper and officer models, IMO. At least some minor conversions there to tie them in would really go a long ways.

But that's a matter of taste, really. The beastmen rock.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I guess maybe I should change the title? I never intended for the army to be fully beastmen, I just wanted to include some truly "Imperial" beastmen, and not have the army be traitors or mutants. There used to be regiments of IG Beastmen in Rogue Trader and 2nd edition, so why not bring 'em back? So, the reason for mixed humans/beasts is I'm imagining the beastmen to be their own regiment much like Cadian or Catachan are a regiment. (Plus I love the kasrkin models, I wouldn't be able to make them look any better than they already are. They are some of my favorite sci-fi miniatures ever.)

Anyway, some more painted pics:

These are really really nice! You just inspired me to order a couple of the beastmen boxes - I love what you've done with the legs.

Make sure you buy up all you want to before February though - have you seen the new faces in the updated beastmen boxes? They're quite different from the ones you're running now (both gor and ungor), so buy now if you want to keep them cohesive

For now just one platoon. I may expand into a little more than that depending. It's kinda spendy to go mech and convert your infantry, even for 1000 points!

I'm way ahead of you. I just found another box cheap on ebay. After seeing the sprue pics for the new beastmen, I rushed out to the LGS and cleaned them out. It's a real shame that the new Beasts of Chaos army book forces the basic infantry to change so radically. However, the current beastman box comes with like 400 extra heads.

The straps and stuff are red, the same red as the company commander. The "stormtrooper" was a test I did a while ago, and I dipped him using Minwax, where as the Beastmen and Commander both had Badab Black wash. The stormtroopers in the army will all be done with the Black Wash.

The only problem is I'm trying to keep them modern looking, and hacking off heads and feet on metal models (Ogryn) is alot tougher than plastic, and I don't really want to greenstuff anything that drastic. If I can find some OOP Ogryns with separate heads though, it may be a little easier.

Can't wait to see them in person.

Definitely going to steal your CataBeast mix design for my Penal Squads. Been wanting to do some Imperial beastmen, but wanted to see what they might look like first.

Also, I wish I knew where my clear canopy parts disappeared to...

I'll post pics of my part of the team tonight, now that I'm done painting(but not based yet).
