Yeah they were a HQ before, had a power weapon of somesorts, (I never played either so can't remember what it was ) but didn't have psychic powers.

Zoanthropes (Has both free.)
- Warp Blast: 24" S5 AP3 Assault1 Blast
- Warp Lance: 18" S10 AP1 Assault1, Lance
Tyrants (Must take two for free. Can't get more than 2.)
- The Horror: 12" range autohit. They take a Morale check or fall back, no effect on feerless units.
- Leech Essence: 12" range autohit. Target sufferes D3 S3 AP2 hits. Tyrant recovers a wound for every unsaved hit. Cannot go past max wounds.
- Paroxysm: 12" range autohit. Lowers targets BS and WS to 1 until Tyrant's next turn.
- Psychic Scream: 2d6" range all around Tyrant. All units take Ld check. If they fail, they take the difference in the roll and their Ld in wounds. No Armor saves alowed.
Broodlord (Has both free.
- Aura of Despair: Use at begining of assault phase. All enemy units in 12" suffer -1 Ld until the end of the next player's turn. If enemies are in range of multiple Auras from multiple Bloordlords, the effects stack.
- Hypnotic Gaze: During assault, before attacks, after pile-in. Target one model in Base contact with the Broodlord, then each player rolls a D6, then adds their Ld to the roll. If the Broodlord's roll is equal or higher to the target's roll, that model can't attack in the combat.

From most assertions, Zoanthropes and Hive Guard would be missed the most.

So we lose some shooting anti-tank, thats all? Seems more of an annoyance then a crippling.

Yes. (Hive Guard, Deathleaper, and [maybe] Ygmarl stealers mostly)

They're looking like most things in the book. Warm.
p.s. Names I will never call things by. Tyranid Prime, Tyranid Shrike, Rupture Cannon, Stranglethorn Cannon. Instead I'll use Alpha Warrior, Winged Warrior, Bio Cannon and Barbed Strangler.

Role-wise, what is the difference between the Carnfiex and Trygon? Aren't both just MCs in the heavy slot?

Aren't Berzerkers and Thousand Sons both infantry in the troops slot? Yes, but they're completely different.
Trygon's almost exclusively melee, with few options and only comes in units of one. Carnifexes can have more range loadout and are in groups of three. The statlines are also vastly different.
