Hi there today I went to my FLGS and bought a nid battleforce and codex. If anyone has any questions about it please ask away!

What can we arm warriors and Fexes with(seeing if I need to tear off the second set of Devourers on a fex and some warriors) and how different are the armaments within a brood of warriors allowed to be?

warriors can have: rending claws, 2 boneswords, bonesword and lash whip, 1 can have a barbed strangler or venom cannon. they can also take spinefists deathspitters an extra set of scything talons, adrenal glands and toxin sacs.

carnifexes can have: crushingh claws up to two sets of tl deathspitters and tl devourers with brainleech worms, stranglethorn cannon or heavy venom cannon

So yes to quad devourer Carnis.

There's no option for Devourers at all for Warriors?

Devourers are basic equipment along with a set of talons

oh btw there are 3 types of warrior now.

What HQ choices are there and what are the three warriors?

Hq's are:
hive tyrant
swarmlord
tervigon
tyranid prime
the parasite of mortrex

Warriors are:
normal
Shrike (flying ones that don't have to give up a set of arms for the wings)
and the tyranid prime which is a beast in close combat with 2 boneswords.

Don't have a clue what the others look like apart from the hive tyrant...What is the point cost for the Tyranid Prime?

Can gaunts get a 4+ armour save in anyway?

tyranid prime is 80pts
gaunts only a 6+

2) If so, are they priced at a level that you could actually afford them as your scoring units?
3) Can a Carnifex play either a gun platform, dedicated assault or a hybrid build?
4) Is there a Fast Attack MC?
5) Can you make an effective army out of only plastic models? (might be hard to answer)
6) Any new fluff in the codex?

IIRC, it's a Gargoyle special character that creates rippers by injecting the eggs into its enemies. Think of it almost as a Facehugger with wings.

2) Yes, just don't overload them on options.
3) It can be all of them, but as for gun platform, not in the way it use to be. Sniperfexes are now extinct.
4) Yes, the Harpy.
5) You could, yes. Now are you going to be able to make a very competitive army without any metal models (No hive guard, venomthropes, lictors, zoanthropes, Hive Tyrants, etc)? I would say defenitely not.
6) Don't have the new codex (yet) but since there are so many new creatures I would imagine so.

and yes that is the stat line for the devourer.

2) What size squads are they available in and what would be the rough point cost for a standard unit?
3) No more Sniperfex? Do they have have any S7+ gun with a range of 24" or more?
4) Whats the Harpies role and is it plastic?
5) I'm aiming for Warrior spam supported by Gargolyes, Carnfiex and maybe some of those snakey MCs. Maybe the Harpy if its plastic too. Am I dumb to ignore the little guys?

I have the Codex now so I will aid in answering questions .

1) Grats .
2) 3-9. Pointcost would depend on what you outfit them with. They can be modest, to pretty costly.
3) Nope, no more Sniperfex. Yes! They can take the Heavy Venom Cannon (S9 AP4 36" Assault 1 Blast). They can also take Bio Plasma (S7 AP2 12" Blast). And you can have them in Broods of Three. Theoretically, you could have 9 Carnifices! But it'd be expensive.
4) It's a flying monstrous creature. Shooty, but it does have some interesting assaulty abilities. It does not have a model as of yet. The artwork makes it look like a Trygon with wings. I plan to make one from a carnifex body and Mcfarlane dragon tail & wings.
5) Unfortunately, I can't see an All-plastic army ever being viable. Unless you custom built alot of your army.

I would love a list of psychic abilities for broodlords, tyrants, thropes and warriors.

Broodlords are no longer HQ choices though. (first time playing nids so no idea if the ever where lol)
