Schepp, I agree. The problem is that GW isn't providing any guidance to prime that pump. As it stands now, you're going to see all kinds of weirdness repping as Tervigons and Terrorfexes on different base sizes. Wait and see.
That's good for the hobbyists, but it doesn't encourage (expensive) kitbashing as much as it could.

Yeah, I just think that if GW had officially said "you build a Tervigon by combining this specific parts of these two $50 kits in this way..." they would have profited more (and helped enforce some consistency, if you care about that kind of thing). At least, that's how I'd screw me if I was planning a way to screw me.
On one hand, I wonder if I should be giving GW ideas on ways to screw me. But then you figure that because I'm a vet, I count for nothing and my opinion is almost certainly wrong. So GW will likely do the opposite thing.

There's a handy Tyranid psychic power tactica and a print out summary sheet on the GW site here.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I've said this a few times in other threads... But how much would they profit if they released a Bitz Pack of four Tyrant Bonesword arms for making the Swarmlord and a Bitz Pack of Venomthrope arms for giving Warriors and others Lashwhips?

Do you know what 'maw' means?
It means gob. Maw = gob. That's why its a good nickname for a Mawloc.
Any other jokes I can ruin for you?

Trygon might be good to use as a tarrasque for 4e D'n'D.
It's one of the better looking "big clawed monsters" around.

I'm not sure that a snake tail really works for a Tarrasque inho.
Could possible bash a fex's legs and crushing/rending claws and a trygon but that starts to get expensive.
Might be better off with a Godzilla toy!

Those kinds of articles (assembly, converting) belong in the hobby section of the codex. The 3rd edition codex had some neat tips on how to make your Warriors leaping etc. 5th on the other hand is just filled with pretty pictures that are basially already up on the site or on the boxes. Codex design has really gone downhill (good rules though!).
BTW, that Trygon assembly tutorial is the epitome of irony. They expect people to sculpt/kitbash 30% of their army, but they don't expect them to know how to assemble a plastic set (manual incl.) with fitted pieces?
