Ashamed/ still surprised: that I started and collected nearly 1750 pts of Dwarf slayer models, then SoC list is removed from GT's/ Tournaments. I've never run it, finished painting about 60 slayers, and realize it should NEVER be run at a GT. I paint a few of them every few months.

Secret shame: i've re-done my skaven 2x in the past, and am currenly on re-do #3. I hate it I do, but cannot stop. I look at my painting and go: i can do better. And I am, but who needs to wetblend extremely converted slaves, me. 2 pts a model, wtf...

Hatred: That i started warmachine and hordes. I sold my skorne, but more than i paid. But seriously privateer press, I might consider playing if I could go 3 mos without new models and new rules coming out. I have a nicely painted cygnar army, can't play it. Don't want to spend more money for rules. *shakes fist a privateer press8

I have a Keeper of Secrets model with a scratch-modeled phallus that droops down to the base of the model then back up into the extended hand and flops down from his/its/whatever's fist.

That model is the reason I'm not going to heaven when I die....

I made up a nice list for a 1500 point Iron Warriors army after reading Storm of Iron. I then (through Dakka, eBay, and retail) managed to get the parts I needed for the entire army, including 30 Iron Warriors shoulderpads, heads, and torsos. I then realized that pinning the arms and torso of every model is a ridiculous pain in the ass. To date, 5 of them are painted and assembled. I'm not going to sell them off, but it's definitely going to be a while before I even pretend to work on that army.

All my Space Wolves have the wrong pack markings. Grey Hunters have Wolf Guard pack markings, Blood Claws have Grey Hunter pack markings, and Wolf Guard have Blood Claw pack markings. It's not enough to really bother me, but I know that if I ever go to a tournament, someone far neckbeardier than I will point out that my markings are not historically accurate representations of the uniforms my fictional plastic spacemen wear.

I based my entire Crimson Fists army in bare grey sand. Later I found out that looked awful and painted sand looks 10 times better. Regrettably, it's really hard to paint sand that hasn't already been spraybased, as it comes off on the brush. My Wolves for the most part don't have basing at all, so they have a similar fate until I can figure something out.

I have a lot of buyer's remorse, I guess.

After gluing the mini bits and before primer, I put some superglue (I use the kind of superglue that comes with a little brush) in the bare base and then cover it with sand. If you don't touch the mini's feet with the glue, the base is textured in a simple but durable way. If you touch the feet... then your mini is trapped in a dune xD

Gearing up for a 10,000 points aside game shortly after the release of third edition 40K my team mate and I were in the middle of a massive building and painting session to try and alter both our army compositions to something our oponents wouldn't be expecting...

My friends flatmate (who I got on quite well with despite her severe distaste for some of our gaming group, most of whom she felt were a tad creepy...) asked us what we were up to in an effort to feign interest in her housemates hobby...

After telling her I proceeded to request that she not mention our project to our opponents in case it robbed us of our tactical advantage...

The look on her face was all I needed to know that I'd joined the "creepy" list...

Not my finest moment...

I regret buying a lot of models that I'll never paint. I never have the motivation and if I find one thing wrong with something I'll stop since it's not perfect. Blah. I need to get over myself

I wasted $22 on a Zoanthrope just to realize how badly designed those fething parts are! That's convinced me, my Tyranid army is gonna be all plastic. Two Tyranid primes, A bunch of termies with devourers, some warriors and as many carnifexes with two pairs of scything talons/adrenal gland/toxin/acid blood as i can cram in my list. Screw metal miniatures! Screw 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleaned up some hobby-rubbish that´s accumulated over the past 2 years
and I came upon my hoard of empty spraycans.

As I was putting them in a bag for recycling i involontarily did some math on the cost of them, and what I could have gotten instead for that money....
(damn brain, it's plotting against me, I just know it)

well above 100 euro's worth of gw sprays, black/white/purity seal.

thats just about 3 trygon kits!

And i'm still gonna need more to finish my armies, a lot more.

Thing is though, the alternatives are either just as pricy or unsuitable for anything on a smaller scale than a mac truck..

I too know the shame of paint the silver pants blue.

Biggest shame moment was when I was a closet gamer in HS my friend and I were assembling models at his house on a Sun after I had crashed over. Then about 1100L WST right about football time... knock knock knock on the door. Oh! snap its the girlfriends, he jumps for the door holds it while I arm sweep the minis into the box and put them in a closet. I swear they thought there was buggery going on in there.

Now I just show the stuff to people tell them its nerdy but I like it...since Im rather successful people tend to let it slide. Plus Im a good painter so most of the time they scoff then say hey wait aminute thats really cool.

Biggest regret is having so much stuff and not having enough time to enjoy it. Been really considering starting a BLOG to keep my interests up.

Steve Carell must play Warhammer or something, making jokes about him painting models came up also in an SNL sketch. All my friends emailed me a link to the sketch...

Oh, I have Nagash's model, does that count as a regret?

For me, I hate to admit this, but one of the first times I went to a LGS (it wasn't especially F, and has since shut down) I got a bunch of supplies. One of which was Citadel PVA glue. As soon as I got home and cracked it open, I was filled with nerdrage at having spent $13 on $2 worth of elmer's glue.

Mine is Starship Troopers.

I have the game, the books, and more then enough of each side to make a good showing.....

If anyone still played the game.

My greatest shame is ever dealing or hearing about Mongoose Publishing.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I regret buying a hellcannon, spending lots of time building and painting it, only to trade my chaos army away.

I do not regret buying a 2nd hellcannon for $20 though.

I think I regret buying my small eldar army.

Nah....

I had to give up my idea of an R-rated Slaneesh list when the owner of the FLGS saw my KoS and (after laughing out loud) said, "You know, I can't let you play that here."

you might want to check out this army, I actually played against it, the pictures don't quite do it justice, but its very slaanesh and doesn't really cross that line into "R-Rated" though it is VERY suggestive
