As far as I understand it, a powerful enough Inquisitor can requisition ANYTHING. He could book that awesomely sexy warhound out for a Sunday drive if he wanted. If they can command space marines, they can command titans.

And yeah, it was the usual shtick that the =I= would never get to requisition a Titan due to their long standing feud with the AdMech.

I don`t really care as there could be a million explanations for something out of the ordinary. After all the whole 40K background is full of contradictions already.

But the boys at Bolter and Chainsword got really worked up about the this one. We`ll see what they say about the Reaver....

So a high ranking Ordo Xenos Inquisitor saves some forge world's bacon from a Tyranid invasion. The resident AdMechs look deep into their cardiopumps and decide to set aside their differences and loan him some titans (complete with Deathwatch color scheme) when he calls in the favor. No big deal right?

After your previous post, I dug out my old White Dwarfs that had Adeptus Titanicus stuff in it (I tend to side with the old fluff personally - it was more interesting IMHO). It featured the icons and loadouts for the various configurations of Reavers (Goth, Vandal, and Hun) and Warhounds (Wolf, Mastiff - Jackal wasn't mentioned).

The legions that are in the running for me are either Foe Slayers (blue and bronze), Cockatrices (black and gold) or Howling Griffons (although with a darker shade of grey than the studio uses and bronze instead of yellow). The Imperial Hunters intrigue me, but they used Rotting Flesh with red bits back then. I think a military green with red would look better.

Off the subject, but maybe of interest to you, I also re-read my Advanced Space Crusade rules last night. I really have the itch to assemble the necessary forces using the modern plastics and create suitably gribbly 3D board sections complete with vital organ objectives. Those rules are daunting though!

while this is true according to the general fluff there are complications. there are plenty of cases where marine chapters openly defy inquisition orders (the SW codex says that the wolves obliterated first a ship then an inquisition fleet when they came to educate the fenrisian people in imperial religion). also, even the IG try to pull politics on the inquisition as evidenced by their attempted assassinations of inquisitors in the cadian blood book (pretty bad book imo btw). finally, the vraks fluff says that the various ordos actively get in each other's way to preserve their own power with the witchhunters making backroom deals with the other high lords in order to pull troops/funding away from vraks once the daemonhunters got control of the theatre instead of them.

no, it's pretty bad. but i misquoted the inquisitor assassination attempt as it did NOT come from cadian blood but instead emperor's mercy.

I haven't been able to find any official mention of "Grey Knight Titans". However, according to Adeptus Titanicus, the Divisio Telepathica is the branch of the Adeptus Mechanicus Collegia Titanica that operates "the dreaded Psi-Titans". "The Telepath Orders, each operate from a secret Forge World near the heart of the Imperium."

Not sure how official it is, but Christian Salling has this to say on his website:
"The last branch of the Adeptus Titanicus is the highly secretive Divisio Telepathica which operates the mysterious Psi-Titans. Few people within the Imperial Hierachy are even aware of their existence but Psi titans are perhaps one of the most advanced weapons in the Imperial arsenal and is often seen deployed along with the Grey Knights of the Inquisition."

"The Divisio Telepatica operates the extremely rare and highly valued Imperial Psi Titans. Sacrificing most of it's main armament, the Psi Titan is equippped with a gigantic carapace mounted Censorium dome. The dome contains numerous of the Imperium's most powerfull Sanctioned Psykers. Unlike the much smaller Censorium Domes mounted on Emperor Class titans the Psi titan's dome has both defensive and offfensive capabilities; it's very construction seems to focus and amplify Warp energy. This makes the Psi titan an extemely potent weapon against enemies who field lots of psykers.
Psi Titans vary immensely in design. Some are dedicated psychic "beacons", some more like oridinary battle titans. Most are a mix somewhere in between. The most common variant Psi titan mounts a relatively small dome which houses a gigantic Psy-Cannon similar -but much bigger- to the those used by the Grey Knight Daemonhunters. The Titan currently assigned to my Titan Legions has sacrificed the carapace armour along with the Psy-Cannon for a much bigger Censorium Dome which gives the Titan some formidable psychic powers at the expense of sturdiness. In addition to this it also carries a Custodian head which houses a Devotional Bell.

The Divisio Telepathica is believed to be secretly based somewhere within the Solar System similarly to the Grey Knights. When the Divisio is called to arms it is usually only in times of dire crisis and even then only a handfull of titans are ever deployed. It would be uncommon to find more than a single Psi titan fighting on any planet as these machines are so highly treasured that the loss of just one is a further step towards damnation of Mankind."

Some tiny pics of the limited edition Psi-Titan can be seen at the bottom the page HERE.

BTW, there is also the Diviso Mandati whose orders are otherwise known as "Executive Orders". They're responsible for convincing independant Human worlds to join the fold of the Imperium. The elite of these orders are called the "Missionary Orders" and often accompany Rogue Traders to worlds beyond Human space.

Gathering the Informations.

There's no "official mention" of Grey Knight Titans because they don't exist. The Inquisition doesn't maintain any standing forces of Titans--because the Adeptus Mechanicus is the sole fielder of Titans.

Just sayin'. While the Inquisition can 'request' Titan support...the AdMech doesn't have to supply it.
