I think a slightly different version of 3. Angle it diagonally over the shoulder with a slightly smaller gap, if possible.

I have been outta town for a few days and I am going to be getting back on this fella in the next day or so.
I will be taking all of the comments and suggestions into account.

At this moment he is about to get a leg overhaul. I got me a SM that is gonna be smashed under one of his feet.
I have plans for lots a dakka for him. Its a com'n.

It's awesome, but needs huge HtH arms.

I love it! I had a similar idea for my killa kans with grots in a similar position however seeing this make my heart sink cause anything I would have made would be below the standard of this! ......................... Maybe you could try it? if you want. how long did it take you? cause it's pro! well done.

I actually just made 6 killa kans that turned out pretty good. I do plan on making another squad or 2 of them so who knows.

It hasnt taken long working on this one. The bad thing is changing my mind mid-build. I pretty much had it layed out in my head and drawn out but it is morphing as I go..growing.

I love that model. The jacked in ork to the machine is a great idea. And yes theres no such thing as over the top orks!

My new ork way of thinkin.

If an ork can think it and he can find he parts, its a done deal.

Heya Stump, thanks for the reply. The arm is a Dreadnought arm, right?

IMO, it's a bit too stubby for how the rest of the model is done. Proportionally, you're making a gorilla, so the arms would be 25-40% longer than the legs. If you added some length to the forearm and upper arm, similar to the legs, that's match the rest of the model much better.

The other things that're a bit off:
- feet. They're too flat. Bulk them up with cut-down sprue - the stuff running around the edges is like 1/4" thick, and is awesome for big parts like feet.

- shoulders. Needs a bigger, stronger-looking connection to where the Ork is attached. Again, bulk up with cut down sprue, and GS some wires / tubes, and you'll be all set.

Otherwise, awesome progress on the concept to date!


BTW, I looked at the WiP blog, and I'm glad you dumped the first arms - way too spindly to be Orky!

Agreed. I think that putting some length on the arm is a great idea. Will get on that asap. and just so you know, he isnt supposed to be a gorilla. I just thought he was looking like one. I am going for a penitent engine look.

I was actually thinking that too. I just wasnt wanting to change them...lazy and all. But it is on the drawing board now as I have removed the legs for a more dynamic pose.

This I had planned from the get go. I was planning some kind of cage that would go in the front and add to that look.

redoing some of the stuff is turning out to be way harder then doing it the first time. Lessons learned I hope.

I kinda figured that the Penitnent Engine was part of the inspiration, but you're Orkifying the concept, which is really cool.

Anyhow, keep at it - I look forward to seeing what you do with the model.
