Be interesting to see if FW has any plans for a Tervigon or Terrorfex model. Might give us a clue whether GW's planning on releasing a plastic kit in the nearish future.

And it's comments like that which is the reason rumours don't get posted! If you've been reading Warseer lately, many of the reliable sources on there have said they've been withholding info and keeping it to themselves because of people doing what you're doing now. In otherwords dismissing everything someone says and then going on complaining about it. Please don't let Dakka become the same!

Absolutely not. Do you have any contrary information, or prior posts from this user, to substantiate that he's just making it up? It's perfectly right and appropriate to be skeptical of doubtful rumors, but it's better practice to explain why you're skeptical.

The function of News & Rumors is not to play "I know something you don't know". If you share something that people can get excited about, it's fun for everyone. If you say you have information but do not share it, that's no fun for anyone else, and a waste of our time. If you cannot share anything useful or substantive, it's better not to post.

If those items you talked about are indeed being worked on/at the stages of development you discussed, cool! Thanks for the contribution! If the info turns out to be false, then people will naturally be displeased.

Anything you can provide, I'm sure you'll find a receptive audience. But there are legitimate reasons that some folks are skeptical.

Well of course people are skeptical. The vast majority of "news/rumors" that get posted are just rehashing things that already have their own threads or lengthy discussions involved.

Well, rumors are traditionally a matter of panning a lot of silt to find the gold dust. Those posters who are/were known and reliable conduits are rightly valued and appreciated.

True, and it doesn't help when you're trying to establish credibility to link to "sneak peek" pictures of something that's already been released

I don't find saying "I know something you don't" to be either News or a Rumor.

People are not going to like it if you lord something over them. Either post some information that has relevance or don't post.

Anyways before we get murderd by th mods for this discussion, I've heard that FW will be releasing a lot of things early at the event, the Raven Guard will be getting the usual treatment, of which I've listed below. FW have said they want to do a Special Character but have denied any special model for him.

I have heard rumours of a 4 Wheeled version of the Tauros with a lighter arnament and maybe even a small transport capacity
Terminator Shoulder Pads
Land Raider and Rhino Doors
No news on the exclusive mini I'm afraid.
IA8 might be ready in time for Open Day, if so the copies will be limted.

Are you under an NDA? If so, fine. If not, coming to N&R and saying 'I know something you don't know' isn't at all helpful.

From what I've been told:
GW doesn't put you under a NDA just for seeing something in the course of a studio tour or anything. They just ask you not to publish photographs.


However, their EMPLOYEES are under NDAs, and if they share information that is actually under the NDA umbrella(the "six month window") they're subject to termination.

6 months? Seems to me it's more like 1month now.

Ehhhh.

We have vague rumors and innuendo six months out.

No real confirmations until 2-3.
