It's by no means uglier than Nagash. It's not pretty, granted, but it's no DE Wyches either (with man G-string?).

Or did you mean the "current" dread (redesigned by Jes Goodwin - yes, he does more than just eldar). The walking outhouse is kinda stupid looking.
The legs don't have enough articulation for it to move properly.

My 2nd edition hive tyrant was downright fugly... until I put some wings on it and gave it a paintjob. Now I get a lot of positive feedback for it, and it has kinda grown on me:

I thought they were supposed to be pig nose snout rhinos, weren't they? (sorry, regarding the vindi post).
I really can't tell much about 'nid figs honestly yjry all just look like ugly bugs to me... I just know that the origional carnifex looked like telle sevales with big claws and the modern one looks (and acts in game) way different... anybody ever tried to paint tats on an old carnie head? swastikas are not cool but he looked the part, and it got lots of laughs. (sigh, my younger days).

the current vindicators have been at the top of my faves list since they were released (especially for tanks)...
i dont see how people dont like them...

for me id have to say either the marbo model, or the valkyrie...
at first i thought the valks were too big and bulky and fugly lookin, but now im in love with them...
i think the process of painting mine helped

You know, about half the time i look at an Imperial Guardsmen model i think about what they are saying (or yelling, or screaming)

I painted quotes on all my heavy weapon teams for this exact reason, and a Chimera that said "I Hate My Job" on the backhatch. hee hee.

You guys remember the old plastic scouts from Space Crusade (I think)? The ones with the mohawks and the ruffley sleeves like they stepped out of a rennaissance faire or something. I used them at the time because I just liked scouts, and that's all there was (plus they were plastics and I'm a cheapskate). But I always thought they looked ridiculous... although I lovingly chopped and snipped and glued them into different poses back when I had that kind of instinct, so I guess they must have had some fond affection for them. Now they live unloved in my brother's basement and I miss them and wish I could use them again.

I had an army with 4 scout squads, and 2 terminator squads made up of those REALLY riduculous looking terminators from origional space hulk (before they had posable arms and the model looked like a big lump with a terminator face and 2 barrels sticking out... remember him?) Possibly the ugliest army ever but hey it was RT days back then so the standards were kind of low. Man I miss those scouts.

Njal Stormcaller, the old model in Power Armor

When I first bought it (back in 96 or 97) I thought it was kinda cool, but I quickly stopped liking it because of the mono-dimensial pose. After 13-14 years of the same pose the model has finally started to grow on me, and now I like the simple "F*** You, I'm an Anteater" pose

^^^ What's the point of censoring what you said in the post without editing the image? I'd change the image before a mod scolds you.

I like Canis Wolfborn, but YMMV on that model. It's pretty love it or hate it.

When the first pictures of the plastic Stegadon were released last year, I was like 'ew, that thing is ugly'. But after a while, I started to like them, and now the old metal one looks plain stupid.

I always thought that dreads looked like piles of gak on two legs. That was when I only saw pics and stuff. Then, when I found out about the board game, I looked at them, looked at a Goliath from SC (my fav unit), and said to myself, well damn, they look friggin awesome!

Personally I really like the old Catachans both the 3rd Ed plastics and the older metals I was absolutely delighted when they first came out. I've even got some Ork Hunter conversions for them.........

Now for me to actually join in on the topic: Ultrasmurfs chaplain Cassius, first time i saw him i thought "They dont seem to like old men do they?" Whilst finding out how i was going to set my army i took a look at his rules, I stopped hating after that.

Someone loved that Nagash model so much they stole it from me, years ago. I loved it back then, til I saw Nagash artwork and realized how bad they dropped the ball. But that model is very old. I bet if they re-made it with todays scultors and tech, it'd rock my socks.

Edit: I don't think this was intended as a "post a pic of ugly models" thread, its a "post a pic of ugly models that you love". Don't be afraid to show the interwebs that you love the old school carrion with lil mini wraiths riding them.
