I'm not going to take time to search youtube for vids of conservatives being attacked but I found at least 6 on youtube of conservatives, even black conservatives, being attacked for their political views.

Since MGS has me iggied I can't tell him that not everyone hates me. Not that I care if I'm liked or not on an internet forum.

So keep on ignoring the fact your side of the fence is as violent at rallies as my side of the fence.

My point stands and I can prove it. Just because you choose to not acknowledge that doesn't mean that you are any more correct than I am.

Fortunately, our LE doesn't distinguish between left-wing and right-wing nutjobs and just seeks to lock the dangerous ones up.

I'm confident the FBI is busy infiltrating these tea parties. This country needs more Timothy McVeighs even less than more Osama bin Ladens.

Yes, because all Tea Partiers are secretly plotting like Tim Mcveigh did.

I'd rather be associated with the likes of Tim McVeigh than with the likes of Matt Damon and Sean Penn like the leftists have to associate with.

LOL.

Yeah.

Gold star for you Shuma.

It's also not my side of the fence protecting violent terrorists but I won't derail the thread going into details.

Hint: Closing of Gitmo.

Gold star if you can figure out how your side is protecting Gitmo detainees, who shock and awe, are violent terrorists.

Who'da thunk it?

Technically it's not closed yet but it will be if PresO ever does ANYTHING other than trying to feth up the lives of 100's of millions.

To Frazz:

I'd get suspended for so far a fairly polite discussion with Shuma over the rights and wrongs at protests of BOTH conservatives and liberals?

So far I think Shuma and I are keeping it fairly civil. Fairly.

Ooh. Happy days. I love it when people call me donkey-cave because I realize I am one and I don't care who likes it or who doesn't.

Thanks Frazzled, you just made my day.

I am being serious too. Shuma might go cry in the corner but I'm smiling ear to ear.

I'd say its an exclusive club, but on Dakka, its, er, practically a requirement. Except for Malf and KK but one will steal your shoes and the other is too busy plotting the interrelationship between global domination and a good kirin beer to be one. You figure out which.

Ahhh the internet. Where the more ridiculous a statement you make the more likely people are to take you seriously and try to refute you.

Still doesn't top the "British Basketball Star" thread where I said, "There's no one in all of England over 5' 4"," and got two pages of people telling me how they were taller than that and I was full of crap.

Yea, the internet is a place of great wonders and mystery, though mostly just retards.

For Soladrin, here is a tea party picture.

The extra line adds a little joke about but the substance is the same - diminish responsibility by putting attention on the almost but not quite named violence of the other side. No-one can ever say 'yeah, this is an issue among our side' because that'd require honesty and that's just not where politics is at.

You probably want to go away and have a think about that one, and maybe retract it. Otherwise I can see it being mentioned in future debates. Quite a lot.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”
