Okay. I realize that the painting quality of these blood ravens is what many of us, myself included, were probably capable of when we started painting. I agree there's no need for name calling.
However, the OP's blatant plagiarism is something of an issue. To the point where I'm not certain if these minis, even as unrefined as they are, are in fact painted by him.
Check his gallery. Check his previous posts. 3 photos he claims are his creations are A) the winged hive tyrant from the forge world website, and I mean quite literally ripped from the website before they changed their format and B) The forge world brood nest, again the photo ripped directly from their website and C) an image of the games workshop hive tyrant while not apparently ripped directly from their website is definitely their promo image of said model, down to the detail work on the model, but an angled shot which is not on the website but is either torn directly from the box or from the codex (which I don't own but check the paint scheme for yourself against what's on GW website). In any case, none of these are his work. Period. I'm also certain I've seen the image of the tyranid with snow base on other forums as well, though I cannot at this time find it. However, given OP's claimed creations, the painting styles are so drastically varied and inconsistent in terms of both quality and technique that they simply cannot have come from the same individual. Painting has a signature. Brush strokes and styles while they become better through time and practice remain overall quite consistent in that they typically match other works by the same artist.
Also, as others have noted he has also claimed that the GW France conversion of Shas'o'Kais is his, down to claiming that the translated conversion tutorial is his work.

Point being, comments on painting aside, I don't believe these miniatures were painted by the OP. I don't care about their quality. I don't believe they are worthy of criticism or compliment as the OP is a plagiarist and thusly any work he claims to be his is automatically suspect.

There is a fine line between constructive criticism and just being rude... and there are several posts in this thread wandering on the wrong side of that line.

Rather than purging the thread, I would ask that people from here on out try to keep in mind that comments when written down often look harsher than they are intended to be... Keep it civil and constructive.

remember this. Thank you.

To the OP : if you show your models and invite comments you will have to accept that not everyone is going to like your models or shower you with praise. There have been several very helpful comments and ideas in this thread if you wish to continue to improve your painting and modelling skills.

Your paint is thick. This is something nearly EVERYONE has problems with for the first model or two. The best way to fix this is to get a ceramic tile, put some paint on there, and mix it with a little water. I prefer to put my paints into eyedroppers (because I'm an enormous klutz and knock them over constantly). If you put them in eyedroppers, or if they already come in eyedroppers like Vallejo, I find a good ratio to be 2 drops paint, one drop water.

Be nice guys I wanna see these Golden Demon pictures. I think we can all learn something from Tau Headhunter. Art. You see under mere guise of what you might say is "Thickly painted" or "Sloppily applied" or perhaps even painted with his favorite brush, nicknamed "Mt. Brushmore" for more (as you all claim) obvious reasons. You see fellow dakkites, he is actually a master of his craft. I'm sure if you're anything like myself, you felt some anger when first seeing these images, maybe sadness with a hint of pity as well. But that is what an artist does, evoke emotion, and this man is a master of it! I think we should all take a lesson from Headhunter, because to every story, there's always something to teach. Today my fine friends, Headhunter teaches us that even Modern Art, is art, even if it's applied onto a miniature.

Not to condone the OP's behavior at all but comments to the effect of "Your painting sucks and my 2 year old could do better" doesn't really classify as "constructive" in my book...

I know this is Dakka and people love to pile on, but seriously...
