http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/

Basically you are given 6 sets of policy statements (one each from Lab, LibDem, Tory, Green, UKIP and BNP) in each of 9 policy areas and asked to pick which one you agree with without knowing the party (although some of the BNP statements are hilariously obvious that its them!)

It then tells you which parties you agree with on which issues. Apparently I don't agree with the greens on anything but agree with all other parties in at least one area.

Poor greens

That was fun. Bit of a hassle getting a postcode but I settled on one from Perth. Perth in a different country but so be it

Turns out I'm 33% Green, 22% Tory, 22% Labour and 22% Lib Dem.

I was quite pleased that no party of me agrees with the Independants, because I have no idea who they are. The BNP answers were really funny, no matter what the topic the first line was always about immigrants. The health service one were they started talking about putting in the money from foreign aid...

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

There are die hard supporters of all the parties, but it is certainly true of Labour - they have a large following in traditionally working/welfare class areas, since that is who they claim to try and represent (although their policy shifts over the last decade or so have somewhat change that, many people don't seem to have noticed).

Labour is doing well in the places where it has done well for years - mainly the industrial north of England where the key issue for many voters is the miner's strike of the 1980's (I kid you not) and people won't vote tory because of Margaret Thatcher.

Seriously - its over guys, let it go...

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

I'd cut my figers off before voting tory.
But maggie is only a small part off that.

Tory ideas look good but never work out.

PS And labour following tory policies for the last 13 yrs hasn't helped either

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Personally I couldn't care less - they're all pretty much the same as each other.! If you want something changed - change it yourself - stop relying on a bunch of people who couldn't care less about you and your problems!
