I thought so at first, but its astonishing how many people I talk to who after 3 weeks of TV coverage now find Nick Clegg a complete ar53..

Maybe letting the electorate 'get to know him' was a bad move...

Yeah, Clegg is pure smarm. It's also hilarious that the people who lambast Cameron for being a 'public schoolboy' forget that Clegg is one too.

I think that when many people get into their voting booth they won't be able to bring themselves to vote Labour, and they won't have the confidence to vote Liberal Democrat.

I predict a Tory win.

What I want: A Lib Dem Win
Chance of that Happening: Somewhere between 0 and -87

What will happen: Tory Win (By perhaps 10 seats) or Hung Parliment.

OK, my wife just sent me this link and I took the test - bizarre how it turns out when you look at policy statements in detail.

http://voteforpolicies.org.uk/

Basically you are given 6 sets of policy statements (one each from Lab, LibDem, Tory, Green, UKIP and BNP) in each of 9 policy areas and asked to pick which one you agree with without knowing the party (although some of the BNP statements are hilariously obvious that its them!)

It then tells you which parties you agree with on which issues. Apparently I don't agree with the greens on anything but agree with all other parties in at least one area.

Poor greens

Nationally I want Tories. Slag em of all you want but we always come back to them when the gak hits the fan.

However:
Locally I'm going for Lib dems, Our local MP does a heck of a lot for the community. I'm getting in touch with him after the election with some major local concerns. he keeps a very visible profile. I don't know the names of any of the other parties representatives.

That vote for policies thing is hilarious! It told me I was a mix of UKIP, BNP, and Tory!

The BNPs policies are even funnier - they have one which is words to the effect of 'a return to 'proper' subjects in Universities, such as engineering, bricklaying, woodwork, Van-driving, stormtrooping, setting fire to bags of gak on Pakistani families' doorsteps...'

OK, I may have a made a few of those examples up.

I thought as much. The BNP are well known for their anti Bricklaying policies!

I think the Tories with a mojority of 60-80 seats.

What will make me laugh is if the Labour party get beaten to third place. I would love to see his perma-fake-smile when he has to sit in Clegs old seat.

My only concern is people like my Mrs who have been won over by Clegg's niceness in the TV debates and the fact that appearantly he "looks nice".

I will of course point out to her tonight that if Clegg gets in I pay more Tax and she gets less money for shoes. Necessity being the mother of invention and all that.

I hope Tories, but I can see it being a hung parliment.

Like that policy test btw, took all nine, had 4 Tory, 2 UKIP, 2 Lib Dem and 1 Green.

Scary considering I voted Labour last time, how my views have changed.

Well the King-maker has spoken - Simon Cowell [and therefore the legion idiots and chavs that hang off of his every word] has professed his support for Dave.

It takes a man with real political nous to come out to support the candidate who will almost inevitably win the day before the polls open.

It saddens me that the whole debate coverage will probably now revolve around this self important what chest size are those trousers bell-end.

I'm expecting the Conservatives to gain the most seats but not a clear majority. This will put power in the hands of parties such as the Liberals and Ulster Democratic Unionists.

It's going to be close, but I think a Conservative government with a low majority is upon us. They've got no chance of staying in longer than one term though.

Regardless, I'm not voting for them.

I just watched the BBC London news and some Asian fellaspat in the face of the BNP chairman, who then dished out a few right handers and it kicked off.

A bit torn on that one - A] I view spitting as the lowest behaviour B] BNP bloke getting it.

Hmmmm, not sure, but it was some good TV.

Well, today's the day, folks and its looking close. 3 up to date polls all have it as a hung parliament (remember the winning line is 326 seats)

ComRes:
Cons - 294
Lab - 248
LibDem - 81
Others - 27
ICM:
Cons - 285
Lab - 258
LibDem - 78
Others - 29
Harris:
Cons - 270
Lab - 272
LibDem - 79
Others - 29

All 3 polls have the tories ahead in terms of votes by between 6% and 9% (so Harris must think labour are doing well in the marginal seats)

If the tories get in, there idea to invigorate the economy. Will be to give the rich a tax boost, privatise everything else.

And spend the rest on rent boys.

Probably truer than we'd like to admit. But why is Labour doing so well in the polls? I thought you Pommies were sick of that lot?
