Forever alone

Dawn of War II and Chaos Rising are both at the top of my list.

Age of Mythology was amazing, though. My friend and I used to love stuffing around with Titans and armies of myth units.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

DOW 2 was actually pretty terrible IMO.
Best RTS games are Starcraft Brood War and DOW Soulstorm (forget that it was $50, FRIGGIN DELDAR MAN!!!)

I'm a huge fan of the Total War series, my most favorite of them all is Medieval 2: Total War, I have at least 200 hours on that game.

Homeworld 2 is another favorite, I tried the demo and just had to have it. Great story and fun multiplayer.

DoW 1&2 are on the list, I just hope Relic does Imperial Guard for DoW:2, that would be sweet.

That was a great game, I loved making little lakes with my bombs. However I got it in a pack containing; Army Men, Alpha Centauri, PanzerGeneral 2, and Metal Marines for about $24.99 so I didn't take too much care of it and I have lost it. For about 10 years now so I doubt I'll ever find it.

Agreed.

Lesser favorites for me include the Red Alert 1 series + expansions and Red Alert 2 prior to Yuri's Revenge.

Definately. Civ is a big one. I'm really excited for Civ V after the slow paced snoozefest that Civ IV was.

Magnus: But I know what's best, bawwwwww! Emprah: Horus, tell Russ to bring Magnus to me because I said so. Horus: Emprah wants you to kill Magnus because he said so. Russ: Fine. Russ: Ah well. Now to go kill Horus. Russ: Rowboat, how have you not been doing anything? Guilliman: . . . I've been writing a book. Russ: Sigh. Let's go. Guilliman: And I fought the Word Bearers! Horus: Oh shi--Spess Puppies a'comin? Abbadon: And the Ultramarines, sir. Horus: Who? Anyway, this looks bad. *enter Sanguinis* What are you doing here? Come to join me? Not to nitpick, but Total War is turn based. Sort of. At times.

Civ is turn based, not an RTS.

Total War has RT battles, but turn based strategy components.

I like Civ 2 and Rome:TW better than any RTS, but I still have fun with DOW (one of the last games my poor machine can run).

Warcraft 2 was a better game in my opinion. The 3D gak they tried in 3 just irritated me. Sure its lame, but I much prefer the 2D graphics to the super bright 3D stuff.

When it comes to graphics I think that Command and Conquer were the only ones to transition different styles with improvement each time.

Does anyone remember the RTS where you had a base, and it was with a bunch of creatures. The only race I remember was some marine-snake monsters, kind of like the Naga in WC3. Does anyone remember a game like that? I've been looking for it for years.

I just started digging through my old games again, and I must say, I rather enjoy Stronghold 2. Having to build up your castle before fighting is rather awesome! And lets not forget "Here comes the cow!"

I can't beleive all you people liked DoW 1 over #2, in #1 all it is is just mass your units and throw them at the enemy, who cares if they die.....

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Which is exactly why we won't see a Guard campaign in DoW II

Thus, DoW I = Better. Because it has Guard campaigns.

Lolthanks

I dunno. There's just something unique about having so many guardsmen in one area that you can't actually see the ground. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Even as they scream in pain.

And Karon, how could you!? How could you quote me in your sig and not let me know so that I can up my "officially quoted" sig count in a glorious moment of self-absorbedness!

I'm kidding. I caught you. I have eyes like Ninja.
