Genswick Rifles Rough riders are great. If you dig about on here you'll find a guy who made an entire Genswick army ( Bretonnian men at arms and knight models converted to have lasguns etc. ) He used the bretonnian knights mounts and legs with various guard body parts and weapons. Makes for a great world war 1 look for the army. Failing that maybe savlar chemdogs?

He's actually the 2nd person to make Genswickers, thus his being the 64th regiment. The original was the legendary Dave Taylor's 33rd.

Yeah I remember when I saw Dave Taylors Genswick army in White Dwarf years back. I regularly keep an eye out on his blog to see what new projects hes working on.

I think I can get you the exact name, as I still have the Mage Knight collectors guides on my bookshelf somewhere. I remember though, that they came from the "Dark Riders" expansion, if that helps you in your immediate search.

[img]Here is some IG Rough Riders I did a few years ago. Regular sm bikes metal scout biker legs and ig bitz. The german motorcycle is a bit big for an ig guy but an atv is perfect.

'Nuff said.

Tamiya makes a pretty beast little diorama kit that has both a pack of Raptors and a Triceratops. Which would, when combined with a hugeass cannon make for an awesome Leman Russ counts as...

this was what i was planning, velociraptors.

Ask and you shall receive.

Here is how I built these IG Rough Rider ATVs.

Parts needed:
1 SM Scout bike with Scout Marine (I used metal Scouts but you can use plastic Scouts)
2 Extra tires
2 IG Cadian grenade launchers
1 Empty sprue with round sections
Any baggage you want to attach

Tools needed:
Dremel
Hobby Knife
Sprue Cutter
Glue

Part 1:
Assemble the main body of the bike. Then using the sprue cutter snip off off the back guard to desired width. Make sure that you cut the exhust off completely.
Sould look like this:

Part 2:
Using the sprue cutters again cut the front wheel wells off at the base of the wheel well. Then snip off the the rest that attaches to the the handle bars. Cut the round parts that stick up on some sprues off and attache them to the handle bar section. Once that dries flip the front wheel wells around and glue them to the freshly added round bits. It should look like this.

Part 3 (Rear section build):
Take the 2 IG Cadian Nade Launchers and snip off the barrels and pistol grips so all that remains is the ammo clip. Save one of the barrels for latter. Next, snip off a piece of sprue which is round and ends in a triangle. I also used a triangle piece of sprue on other ATVs sinceI ran out of round sprues. Cut the sprue to how far you want the tires to extend. Next glue the nade ammo clips into the centers of the wheels and then glue both wheels with the nade clips facing inward to the piece of sprue. Glue the nade barrel into the back of the bike body with the bottom of the barrel sliding into the groove formed when the body half are put together. Leave enough room for the rear wheel assembly to slid in between the barrel and the bottom foot rest off the bike. Then after all that that dries, glue the rear wheel assembly into the rear of the bike. This is what it should look like:

That is all there is to the ATV itself, now the rider.

Part 4:
Take the Scout Bike Marine and clamp it to something solid in order to hold him safely while you cut. Use the dremel to cut right above the Scout's belt. This will remove the chest leaving the legs. The SM Scouts waist and butt is still a bit too bootylishes for an IG Cadian or Catachan torso to fit on so using the dremel to file down the rear of the Scout. You don't need to be clean and perfect fit since I hid the cut with ammo and grenades. It should look like this:

Part 5: For the arm holding on to the handlebars all I used was the Plastic IG Cadian Special Weapon left arm and the left hand from the SM Scout Biker. Snip and glue and it should look like this:

That is all there was to making my IG Rough Rider ATVs. They were alot cheaper than the GW UK site's rough rider conversions. For three all I needed was one box of SM Scout Bikes, three plastic IG Cadian Torsos, three Plastic IG Cadian Special Weapon left arms, six plastic IG Cadian grenade launchers, a empty sprue and six extra wheels. It took me a total of an hour to do one ATV because of the dremel and glue time. Any IG player shouldhave most of the IG bits laying around so the cost would be for the bikers and extra wheels. Also, the ATVs are small enough to still fit onto GW Cav Bases.

Enjoy.

Don't feel like that man. I have been doing conversions like that for the past 13 years since I got into GW games. It has been a long road of mistakes, deep cuts and the occasional ER visit. My flaktrukk cost me $100 copay for my trip to the ER. I am more interested in making something that looks good and is easly reproduced utilizing as many GW production parts as possible. No good having only one model that should be fielded as an entire unit. Plus if people like them I love sharing how I made it because it I believe that something like these should be shared for all to utilize.

So true, you can never call yourself an truly experienced/vteren/elite modeler/converter/idiot untill your models have caused you to visit a hospital...
And just to clarify i am talking about people i know...not me...i havnt even learnt how to us greenstuff yet...
Oh, and i must say that those ATV's looked awesome, and the IG on the scrambler look briliant also.

Amen to that. The new Leman Russ demolisher kit sent me to the hospital and home with 8 stitches. I'm about to get the stitches off tomorrow and the Russ is already done and magnetized, so I consider that a win for me.

Did you know that if you completely burn off your fingerprints (I mean perfectly flat shiny skin) they'll grow back in about 5 months?

Don't think I want to try to find out if that is true. Sounds like a job for Mythbusters.
