It would be nice for the Imperium to WIN, and not a Pyrrhic victory either!

Especially if it is made possible, in part, by the actions of the Raven Guard!

Meh. Anything that means you don't have to buy metal minis to represent kommandos is awesome.

Are you kidding me? Those gasmasks are so freaking cool! I'm not sure about you but I'd rather use current Ork arms rather than pay FW prices for backward knife arms, when it would take literally less than a minute to cut a knife blade and handle and glue them back on opposite sides. I don't need FW to do that and charge me way too much for it. Now shootas with silencers or something similar would have been cool, but again, nothing anyone couldn't produce with a little plasticard and minimal effort. Those gasmasks on the other hand are not easy to reproduce, look super cool and the whole set is relatively cheap as it is. This set alone has me comtemplating some weird mutie Ork/Cybork Ork army using nothing but these gasmasks on all the boyz!

The pre-heresy marine looks pretty sweet too. I love the look of PH marines, but with all the bells and whistles in the newer SM books, a PH army is going to look really low tech by comparison. But maybe that's a good thing!

Raven Guard were utter beasts in Cadian Blood. Not over the top Goto style heroes, either, but rather believable and interesting characters--even though we only caught glimpses of them. Anyway . . .

That's mkV, alright.

Painted up preHH WE style:

RG are indeed notorious for their older armor--especially the beakies, of course, although they are hardly limited to those.

But I'm kind of surprised there's no BA vendread out yet . . .

Those pre-heresy FW pieces will even go nicely in some marks of th newer armor as well and I am damn glad I have not started my pre-heresy marines yet after seeing this!

Also, the Raven Guard got an even better showing in the Chapter's Due. They were downright wicked.

Any new marks of PH armor will gladly be added to my PH Space Wolf army no matter how much my wallet will hate me! Guess I'll hold off on building any new squads to see what FW has up their sleeve.

If the MkV armour does signify a pre heresy release by FW then I expect an IA book about Istavvan or the siege of Terra or some such HH set battle.

There could be actual business reasons behind that ie. no sense in producing a new resin kit when we just released a fancy new plastic kit.

Might be wrong on this, but I think all 'venerable' Dreads for BA are Furiosos. Mind, I'd still love a BA Furioso kit by FW with some more detail on it; I'm just saying that the lack of Venerable Dreads in the BA 'Dex seems to hint at this.

As for this 'sneak peek', if it is older SM armour, I'll probably pick up some. I like to have some variety in my BA and some of the older versions of Marine armour would be a cool addition (without using 3rd-party or the 'Armour Through The Ages' set).

Judging from the pics on the FW site it appears to be 5 kommandos plus the Nob bits, so enough for 6 models total.

Not all Furiosos are Librarians. I need to check the fluff at some point, but I'm pretty sure Furioso Librarians are only for mortally wounded Librarians. Captains and so on get interred in regular Furioso Dreads. Again, haven't looked through the new 'Dex in a few weeks, so might be wrong.

Edit: Straight from the Dex: 'Furioso Dreadnoughts are the most venerable of all.' It also goes on to say that Furioso Librarians are extremely rare.
