There was a 2000pt game where I and my ally (Renegades and Black legion) VS Tyranids. There were three objectives. On the last turn I controlled one and the tyranid controlled two so my chaos marine ally charge the 7 Gaunts with a squad of Terminators to make the whole game a tie....All his marines died and one Gaunt survived. The GW was screaming! I fell on my knees screaming "FUUUUUU "
If you think thats not a fail then prove me wrong.

750 point game

my Chimera with Melta Veterans went straight ahead at a Vindicator, every shot failed to do any more than stun and shake the crew, it didn't stop them, they kept going, taking the Demolisher shells, when I finaly got to shoot again I took it down

lost only 1 Chimera and 2 Veterans from the Command Squad and this was against Space Marines

I had 6 Fire dragons with fire pike exarch shoot at a rhino less than 6" away and fail to cause any lasting injury.

In a 3 on 3 game with 1000 points each I had over 500 points of my army deep strike and suffer mishap death despite descent of angels

I had mephiston suffer 2 wounds to perils and 1 to his own plasma pistol in three turns of a game.

1 of my van vets stayed in combat with a Necron lord for 4 turns both without dying and successfully wounding it!

He is now the chapters banner bearer .

The look on the opponents face was just great as my termies ran past him towards his unprotected warriors...

The crowning moment was when my terminator chaplin (Master of Sanctity) took on my brothers deamon prince in CC and lost 2 of his 3 wounds, just when it looked like he was going to go down the havoc scattered and dropped the deamon prince with friendly fire... my brother hasn't taken a havoc launcher since.

My Valkyrie took down 400 some pts of dark eldar in like 2 turns.

I've got 2 good stories I guess:

1. I had Guardsman Marbo land in a small forest, hurl his democharge.....and wipe out 7 Blood Angels Terminators. Of course they promptly turned and charged him the next turn, but Marbo's sacrifice bought me time to kill the rest of his BA with the laser light show and generous helpings of large blast templates.

2. I had a nice unit of Space Wolves hacking my way through my Guardsmen and Command Squads. In desperation I order all 3 of my Leman Russ battle tanks and my Bassie to fire on them while they were in the open. 2 of the LRs and Bassie got direct hits, killing almost NONE of them. The third LR on the other hand was about.....5 inches away from the squad in question. It scattered all 9 inches to the far left, and killed a Land Speeder. My opponent and I figured the LR's machine spirit had a very large hiccup.

I don't believe you for a second. The chance of rolling all those hits and wounds alone is 2.34 times 10 to the negative 156th power, and that's without the save rolls factored in.

Also, there's no such thing as a 100 man blob squad.

It could be that his exaggerating. He could have a 50 man blob squad + 50 man Conscript squad. You could potentially describe that as a '100 man blob'. Still.......that's almost too good to be true, but hey, that's what this thread is for, no?

A few months ago a single one of my genestealers (a veteran of his destroyed unit, even) ran, tucked and jumped over terrain on a 6' 4' board, crossing most of it diagonally. On its way, it passed at least 30 4+ cover saves, only to assault a venerable dreadnought, hit with one attack, then proceed to rend and cause it to explode.

That genestealer's base has been marked, and he has been named.

i dont think the thread is supposed to be used for balant lying. The odds of that happening is about as low as the odds of your computer tunneling through you desk trough quantum mechanics

I once had an entire imperail regiment fire at my one Vanguard squad. The Vanguards made 50 saves..... How does that happen? And they still lived!

In one game against my friend 5 FW defeated 4 Genestealers in combat. This was over 3 turns of combat.

Then in a diffent game we were playing kill team and one fire warrior killed 2 genestealers... in combat again.

The dice always turn up something strange.

Old Zogswort turned a Space Marine Captain into a Squig. But then I lost three Ork Warbikers chasing down the Squig for the kill, and no, I didn't kill the damn Squig!

Earlier in that game; First attack of Turn 1 my Deffkopta killed my opponents SM Librarian.

Same game; Old Zogswort hit a Vindicator three times with a Zzap attack (Str 10) and failed to do more than Stun it!

My Orks vs Tau. Tau unleashed on my mob of Boyz with 80+ attacks. Due to missed attacks, failed damage and my Kustom Force Field I didn't lose a single Boy in that first barrage!

My 3 Killa Kans shot down a unit of Harlequins before I even managed to get into close assault!

I forget who he was fighting, probably the same Tau as above, but my mates five Space Marine Terminators were hit & damaged by six attacks. He rolled his saves just needing two's, he rolled five one's!

You guys are probably right. Weird stuff does happen with the dice, but although I could see a huge swarm of Guardsmen kill Calgar, it'd be because they got 5 wounds and the Marine's player had SUCKY save rolling. That's realistic. I will admit I'lll call BS on the 200 hits and wounds. Plus I think our poster here is misinformed about a blob squad, and probably thought he could mix his Conscripts in with his regular Guardsmen....that's what I personally think happened to give him a '100 man blob'. He prob is BSing us about the 200 hits and wounds though.....if he DID roll that many I'd like to take a good look at his dice, no?

A friend of mine brought his Trygon Prime in via deep strike, after chomping through my 5 man Terminator squad that heroically took off five wounds he decided that he wanted to have a go at the Sergeant of my Tac squad who was the only survivor from a Genestealer Brood Assault, he laughed when I pulled out the Bolt Pistol, he rolled about in fits when I got the to hit, and then he said "You're gonna need a six" winked and laughed again, so I obliged and rolled a six, he stopped laughing, said "Well all I need is a three to save!", rolled a snake eye , then I laughed.

I think he dreads every game now when I pull out Sergeant 'Slaughter'.

I once killed a IG army with 10% of my Space Wolf army left. Was totally unbelievable.

Ahem. Something weird that happens to me, is that whenever my Dark Angels play Space Wolves, the result is always a draw. No matter how impossible it seems for one side to win, the result is 99% guarenteed to be a draw. One of my best mates plays Space Wolves, and we have a rule that whoever first wins a game is going to go outside and kiss the first person we see our age (so, 14 for me, and 30-something for him )

I once had 1 Possessed Marine take out an entire side of the table by himself. The Guard's tanks were busted on that side, and that lone possessed ran in and broke every unit he got into combat with first turn.

i play orks and fight tau alot...the most wtf thing i had happen was that Ghazghkull lost CC to FW...all four wounds gone to FW in CC...haha
