Bunch of Hormagaunts vs Eldar. Charged some Banshees and Eldrad. They are Fortuned, I am Doomed. Banshees kll half the gaunts. Gaunts kill the banshees. Gaunts and Eldrad nail each other for a few. Charge in Tyranid Warriors. Nothing. Guants then eat Eldrad. Gaunts proceed to charge and kill a unit of dire Avengers, then run up the tower to get the rangers.

In an Earlier Game, my Genestealers outflank Tau, kill some Crisis Suits. They are then shot to pieces. Broodlord has 1 Wound, Tau player decides that it is better to charge than to be charged. He Runs 6 Stealthsuits at the Brodlord. Broodlord lives, runs survivors down. Broodlord then charges his Hammerhead, and kills it. Jumps around the tank, teams up with a half-dozen gaunts to attack Broadsides. After that, the broodlord goes into kp denial for the rest of the game.

It could be that his exaggerating. He could have a 50 man blob squad + 50 man Conscript squad. You could potentially describe that as a '100 man blob'. Still.......that's almost too good to be true, but hey, that's what this thread is for, no?

i dont think the thread is supposed to be used for balant lying. The odds of that happening is about as low as the odds of your computer tunneling through you desk trough quantum mechanics

You guys are probably right. Weird stuff does happen with the dice, but although I could see a huge swarm of Guardsmen kill Calgar, it'd be because they got 5 wounds and the Marine's player had SUCKY save rolling. That's realistic. I will admit I'lll call BS on the 200 hits and wounds. Plus I think our poster here is misinformed about a blob squad, and probably thought he could mix his Conscripts in with his regular Guardsmen....that's what I personally think happened to give him a '100 man blob'. He prob is BSing us about the 200 hits and wounds though.....if he DID roll that many I'd like to take a good look at his dice, no?

Take 2 50 man Blob squads and blob them together. *shrugs* Exaggeration or not, the number of wounds I can give him with 200+ shots made his jaw drop anyways.

You can't blob 2 50 man blob squads. From what I know of the combined squads rule, you can only blob within the platoon. As each platoon can only have 5 infantry squads, that gives you a 50 man blob squad max. In which case, it's not as amazing that you managed to get so many wounds. If you throw enough mad at any wall it'll come crashing down....it's just that in this case you can't throw that much mud because the rules say so.

No doubt you had an amazing series of rolls and killed Marneus Calgar with guardsmen. An amazing feat, true. We just think you exaggerated enough that it broke our suspension of disbelief.

In about three games my brood lord alone has eaten whole fire warrior squads.

Okay, this is pretty freaky, but thank the Emperor it was in my favour.

Imperial Guard Veteran Squad, 1 Sergeant with pistol, 2 man HB team, 7 lasgunners, opens fire on an Eldar Avatar, using the order bring it down. The lasguns alone killed it.....

So i set those models aside, do some conversions, and they are now my stormtroopers.

In their first battle as such, the end up in a close range firfight with some chaos marines. Thanks to AP3, i shoot seven dead in return for 2 of my own. The Chaos marines assault, cause one wound and lose two more in return. The survivor fails his LD test and dies as he tries to run.

Needless to say, i am so frakking proud of these little guys. My storm troopers now have a Valkyrie

it's was my very first time ever using a Commissar. he led a 30man squad of Imperial Guard, they got charged by Shrike, just Kayvan Shrike, he kills a few grunts, I do nothing, I failed my Morale test TWICE and got cought and run down

and I lost a huge squad of Conscripts, I don't know how many of them fled, probably 40. I eventually won with only a Platoon Comman who kept firing thier heavy Bolter and my Company Commander smashing the last Space Marine with a Powerfist

I have solid evidence that my Farseer is strait.

Unit of Banshees (5-6 with exarch) about to take on 30ish orks. Decide to try to thin their numbers with an eldritch storm. Template is place over a fair number of orks and would still do so an almost any direction if scattered. Almost is the key work here, scatters directly over my unit, hitting all of them and not a single ork.

Can't remember how many I lost from it, but I suppose it's my own fault. When right in front of you there's an unit of banshees hot and sweaty from an earlier assault, where else is you're mind gonna be focused.

I had an SM scout sergeant kill a daemon prince in close combat.

My Tyrannofex shot 3 times, hit 3 times and exploded 3 ork trucks.

I had a sniper kill a hammer head. I also had a chaplain in 1 on 1 combat kill a dread with a grenade (last edition).

a five man team of fire warriors standing firm for two turns of combat against my trygon prime! I was not impressed with the dice gods that day.... but I think my mate pulled the wool over my eyes somehow!.... taking advantage of my fuming retorts at the incredible number of ones..... but still it still sticks with me.

Umm I dont think thats possible unless you hit one its exploded and the explosion caught another? wait no thats str. 3 so you couldn't of done that since you cant target 3 different things in one shooting phase from the same unit.. so what you just said was quite illegal. And even if there is a tyranid rule that says you can you cant target different targets with one weapon with another weapon you could but not split 3 shots from the same weapon.

I had a LR and Rhino both catch a deffrolla. 6 hits on the rhino and 1 on the LR. The LR explodes but the Rhino loses its storm bolter.

Umm... Yea. It is possible. Over the course of 3 shooting phases. Did you entertain that idea before calling him a cheater? Methinks not.

I had my battle wagon get immobalised, wep destroyed, wep destroyed, wep destroyed and my 2 big meks fix everything up again get it moving and then it got melta bombed and died the next turn, that was annoying but comedy as hell.

One of my IG HW teems killed a warrior in CC.

For 5 turns my mm couldnt even get a immoblised result on a trukk, but was able to gun down a lonely nob.

the 2nd guardsmen in the Lascannon team had a cast-arm I found in my bits box.

I recently charged a death company with my 10 man squad of khorn berzerkers. The berzerkers inflicted 1 wound that was not saved. The death company prompty killed off all but one of the berzerkers.
Another one was when my farseer and a squad of direavengers charged a squad of frie warriors. I killed one of them just before they slaughtered my farseer and his squad. It was a sad day.
