I personally feel that its a bit more serious, but its still funny as hell. It takes a lot of shots at MW2 and if you sit still at certain points in the game you can hear your team arguing or talking about various things.

For example,

Haggard: "What's your favorite scene in Predator?"

Sweetwater: "The scene where Billy faces off against the Predator."

Haggard: "The knife scene?"

Sweetwater: "Yeah."

Haggard: "That's ridiculous, Billy's a puss."

Thats what I liked about the 1st. The humour.

Haggard is a legend. Especially 1-man storming a country's borders.

You should hear his favorite scene and how the group coaxes him to continue fighting near the end.

I just looked at the wiki to see if they had any quotes and apparantly they are making a BFBC2 Vietnam expansion for it.

That's what makes it tough for me though, DICE is maing the new Medal of Honor Multiplayer so I know its going to be fantastic, but I want Black Ops as well.

Actually his favorite scene has nothing to do with arnold. I can tell you if you want.

Spoiler:
Its the scene when the predator turns on his heat vision and goes "fwoom".

Predator 1 right?

And i think Medal of Honour has too bad of a reputation to be saved. IMO though. Not interested in black ops. Reach will be better.

Actually, the remake of 007 Goldeneye will be better. As long as they only update the graphics that is.

MoH can be saved. A cross between CoD MW and BFBC2 = Awesomesauce.

Don't get me started on Reach though, I will rage.

One thing though, the voice and likeness is done by Daniel Craig and not by Pierce Brosnan. I can forgive the voice thing because the first one had no voices, I can also give the likeness part because its an FPS and you don't see yourself as much.

What about remote mines though? If I stand there with god mode on while I chuck remote mines on them until they're just a shifting mass of metal, eill they try to run?

BAD company 2 campaing sucks balls compared to the first. But overall it is WAY better crash buildings to the ground, choppers act like they are suppose to, and sniping actually takes skill now.

Yet to play the game, until i get off my arse and buy it tomorrow (friends keep harping on about it to get me away from MW2)

Just a quick thought, but whats wrong with over powered guns?
If every gun was equil it would be boring and pointless.

Also, maybe its about playstyle aswell.
(using MW2 as an example here) most people use akimbo 1887's for the sheer power, yet its limited in range (nice drawback) so you can just sit back and single fier to taunt them.

All in all, no gun is ever perfect, weather its accuracy, range, recoil, sights, there is allways a downside.
Just a case of learning said downside and making use of it.

and at the mention of golden eye, an age old game has outdone even the newest ones
(timesplitters 3 also does this for the old box)

There's a biiiiiig difference between weapons being equal and weapons being balanced.

Equal weapons would be the same gun with different models and textures. Balanced weapons mean that each weapon has it's own strengths and weaknesses, and that certain weapons are perfect for some roles, but terrible or not a first choice for others. For example, an M60 would be a prime weapon for suppression, room clearing, and squad support, but it would be a terrible choice for long ranges unless you planned on wasting a lot of ammo. Balance doesn't make gams boring, it makes them take skill.

Overpowered guns -are- boring, however. Aside from everyone overusing those weapons and then getting the impression they have skill, once a weapon is OP, it stays OP. Because A) the developer doesn't know -how- to balance weapons, or B) balancing them would cause the spray n' pray noobs, who otherwise couldn't his the wall of a barn from the inside, to ragequit and start a campaign to tell everyone how "Hurr dis cumpanies sux. Theyare gamez are 2 nawt fairz cuz they nerfd mai favrit gunz!". The developer then loses customers and, subsequently, money for the next couple years.

And whats the difference with players rage quitting from losing thier OP gun, to those that will quit if said weapons stay?
Ive known tons of people who have quit MW2 due to a few guns, yet alot less when guns like the 21 and usp got dropped in power and range.

The thing is, MW2 has hacks that people use after nerfs to counteract a nerf. BFBC2 has dedicated servers, as well as the punkbuster program, which has come stock with every BF game from the beginning. You hack in a BF game, you're done. You hack in MW2 and you get a slap on the wrist. People are leaving MW2 in droves due to A) The complete WTFsucks lack of balance, and B) The zerg swarm of hacking. Not because of weapon nerfs. Hell the whole game is pretty much unsupported now that Infinity Ward has basically gone down the toilet more or less. Meanwhile, DICE is still capable of rebalancing the game. They just either don't know how, or won't.

No I won't, especialy not because of caps, I don't even need to see it, I've played both games on the day they came out, and I loved them both. Heck, I even went back for all the achievements.

I never played BC1, but I loved the mission in BC 2 with the riverboat.

Shelling that logging camp while watching rebels scurry about in the distance trying to hide was just made of giggles n' farts

BC2, fun game. They may redo some of the guns when Vietnam comes out though. It will be interestingto see how this will work out for the consoles.

And metallifan, I do not know if the ai will react to the remote mines as they did before, but there are indeed remote mines and god mode. They say that they have every cheat except for big head mode. A lot of changes, which is starting to annoy me now that I know about them, but as long as it isn't like comparing Conker's Bad Fur Day to the revamped X-Box version, then I'm okay.

QFT. Games that take skill are bad these days because most people have none That's why Unreal Tournament has never hit as big as CoD or Gears. Publishers like money. Games that take skill make less than games that take none, hence the dumbing down of video games to the point even a five year old can own your face.
