I call all of my melta guns 'magic markers' otherwise they don't hit. if I voice the words "melta, meltagun, or multi-melta" they literally do not hit. its creepy.

I also have a Razorback with TLLC that I call the Indomitable Will. Said Razorback is the last thing to ever die in my whole army. His kill tally includes 4 predator tanks, 2 Landraiders, 3 landspeeders, a Monolith, 2 devilfish, 3 wave serpents, 1 fireprism, 5 chimeras, uncounted rhinos, and one very very unlucky sanguinary priest.

Additionally by the time the indomitable will actually dies, it has usually suffered on average 3-4 crew shaken/crew stunned results, been imobilized, and had its weapon destroyed. When it does actually die it has never done anything less than explode the full 6 inches and kill 2+ enemy models. I maintain that the crew keeps nitro glycerin in the crew compartment.

I have a tank thats litterly the underdog of my force

its an executioner with multi-melta sponsons and a lascannon

the first game I used it on it killed a DP, my latest game I played it had missed with all 3 of its plasma shots, its lascannon shot but with its appartly underated multi-melta it scores a hit on a looted tank

My Genestealer-heavy Nid list is nicknamed "The Roaches" - partially becuase of their number, and partly cause of the paint scheme..

In game I only refer to my Hormagaunts as Cannon Fodder because they have yet to really, well, do anything in the games I've played, and almost always die. My Genestealers (particularly the two I gave heads with feeder tendrils) are known as the Wave of Death because my Genestealers always sweep across the map, killing tons of things, and somehow, they always shoot six of them down, but the last two live. Finally, my Hive Tyrant has earned both the affectionate names: the Rape Machine due to his sheer awesomeness and also Bullseye because I seem to roll an eleven on the scatter dice every time I try to shoot his Venom Cannon.

My good friend plays Space Wolves, for some reason, his Canis Wolfborn is nicknamed Crumbles.

My predator w/ autocannon is named "sheila" after Red vs. Blue, and my freind's platoon commander is named Sgt. Runaway because in one game he was at the front of the army, and a carnifex crashed into his platoon. he was the only survivor of that platoon, and the entire game, the carnifex was always 1 inch too close for him to regoup, causing him to run off the board. Next turn, the carnifex died.

I've got a bad moon Stompa called "Big Bizness", after the bull from Cold Comfort farm.
Also got 2 hormagaunts called Itchy and Scratchy. (Oh, and a heavily converted carnifex called 'Dave').

My boyfriend's little brother likes to nickname his models as well as some other people's, these are the results:

My boyfriend's Typhus: Tiffany
My havocs: Steven's havocs (My boyfriend's name is Steven, and this is as a result of someone targeting my havocs thinking they were my boyfriend's, with the result that if someone says they're targeting his [Insert CSM Unit Here] when they really mean to be targeting mine, they have to measure against his and not mine because that's what they said they were shooting at, and all my stuff is clearly female and thus not belonging to my boyfriend)
One of his SM unit-Leaders: Lefty (because he only had a left arm for a while)
One of his regular SMs with a knife: Doomness (because it's the knife of doomness?)
His Scout unit-Leader: Sgt. Johnson (from Halo, because the model comes with a cigar in one hand [Not sure if it's supposed to be for SM Scouts or something IG related, but it functions as the leader of his scout unit.]

Of course, I've nicknamed an enemy model myself. I call one of my friend's Tau models "Crouchy" because he's crouched lower than all the others, and I used him as a target for a blast template multiple times.

My Khador 'Wardog' nicknamed 'Mr Fusspot' after a certain chairman of a bank... gotta love a bit of Discworld eh?

I named my counts as Marbo "Special ed"

He ALWAYS got himself killed half the time by his own demo charge.

I have an apothecary called House
and a civilian man with a bow tie who is followed around by a girl and her husband, it's pretty weird he shows up every where even when i played pre heresy games........

I have a single assault marine, sole survivor of his unit that assaulted into the side of a unit of 17 gretchin + runt herd and killed 3 and swept the unit, that ive since painted to a high standard in recognition of his valorous deeds. He will get a suitable name shortly, although my warboss is named (insert orkystuff here {its whatever he feels like atm lol}) kittenkrusha

I have a defiler where the top part is still only bluetacked on. During the course of every game, the 'head' slowly sinks so it looks like its fallen asleep - its been nicknamed 'Jeff' (as 'wake up Jeff' from the wiggles).

My conscripts have just gained the name, "Black heads" due to how their armor is Black with black pants on a blue shirt, where normal guardsman are Blue armor and pants on black shirt.

I have a Venerable Dreadnought named Mr. Whiner. In a battle against my friends IG, Marbo popped out of a corner and tossed his Demo-Charge, this only anoyed Atavus Fragoris (his old name) & he walked over for an old fashioned Curb Stompin'. However some of Marbo must have become lodged in Fragoris' hip actuator, because he became Immoblized, Facing a Blank Wall, For The Rest Of The Game, SCREAMING TECHMARINE...I wasn't fielding a Techmarine...I don't even own a Techmarine...It was sad...And Funny...So very, very funny and sad.

One of the GW staff members in our local store has a 3000 pt chaos marine army and he named the all BOB !!!

Every time you kill one of his men he yells ( yes yells ) OH MY GOD !!! YOU KILLED BOB !!!!!

My freind who plays CSM named his spiky rhino, "greased spiklin" after greased lightning, he is in grease the muscial at my school.

So not to be done, I named my chirmera "the crushinator" and the commander Sgt Johnson, cause he has the same hat as johnson.

Versus SW my Sternguard Sgt got the Name Sgt Wells, cause he got JotWW'd and survived, only to die in the explosion the final victim of his powerfist, Bjorn. I had to repaint the name plaque on him yesterday .

For those who don't know in the film Dog Soldiers Sgt. Wells (Sean Pertwee soon to be in Ultramarines) gets disembowled by a Werewolf and later kills the wolves and himself by blowing up the house they're in with gas

Think the best one is my mates Senior Officer called Nicky the Nose after the guy in Star Trek First Contact due to a chip in the paint job.

The joke was however that when the model was fielded as a heroic officer he would maraud all over the place but when he was field as a normal senior he would die...quickly and messily.

This lead to the joke that it was his little brother Kevin the Crap

I also have a Space Marine called "Captain Staples" yeah, don't ask why, its not an interesting story

I have a Carnifex named Chuck, a Broodlord named Godric, three gaunts named Osm, Hope, Pally, and a tyranid prime named K.M.J.. In the years following my purchasing my models I've been sorely out of money so instead of giving gifts one Christmas I let me friends pick things for me to paint on model bases. I plan to expand that until they're all labeled (for better or for worse) and so far that's 257 assorted tyranids left to be marked.

A sternguard sergeant with a power sword and BOLT PISTOL (odd yes but i was lacking sarg models) killed the same necron lord 3 times in melee in a single game. The necron rolld 6's on his we'll be back 3 times!

Cant remember his name....It was either valinus...valourous...or valourface... saved the assault terminators asses tho (they had THSS and the lord had a warscythe..no happy)

My Devistator Multi-Melta. Mr. Fail. couldnt hit the blasted ork trukk until 6th turn, then he didnt kill it.

I haven't given my guardsmen crazy names.
Well, in this iteration at least.
In the original army i planned, there were so many characters with names I pulled from books, tv, everything.

Now I only name my officers and a few special characters, using combinations of my friends and families names.

I am building a priest named Father Rawlings and another one named Brother Maynard who is armed with the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch though.
