im not sure if your age is as one of the above posters has said (10 years) but either way, i dont think your work is bad at all.
a few suggestions i would have for you. more brushes.. using different sized brushes can make a huge difference depending on what your overall goal is with a mini.
Thin your paints down... when i buy a new pot of GW paint, first thing i do when i get home with it is put water in, to just below the brim. I do this with most colors (not foundation paints) to thin them to a much more usable level. Using more, thin coats generally has a much better overall effect than one or 2 thick coats.
One thing i would strongly suggest, since your basilisk has the same general camo scheme as my own guard force, plan it out with pencil first.. paint your base color, grey in this case, then lightly with a pencil, mark all the lines you want to have your black camo markings to go into, and then once you paint the black, a fine detail brush or perhaps as large as a basecoat brush, line the white with short, over lapping strokes.
the overlapping brush strokes should help eliminate natural hand shake in the painting line.
hopefully some of this helps, and there are quite a few excellent painters here or even tutorials around the web that are of immense help.
Stay the course and smite the enemies of the Emperor!!

Ah! I see whats wrong with them! If you would base them your miniatures would get a better feeling, of what terrain they are sort of traveling in and would explain why they wear camoflauge.
(Much better than my miniatures in my first couple of years im serious)

All I can add is to be patient when painting and to touch up when paint goes where you don't want it. Like, with your first image I'm seeing red where there should be silver and with you valkyrie I see both silver and red where there should be blue (or is that a gray?).

Sluggaslugga has a valid point. The base and method of basing is pivotal to setting off the miniature and giving it character. Whilst some people don't like fluff it helps to set your models firmly in a narrative niche in 40k because it generates verisimilitude. Big words aside I'm impressed by what you have achieved and I know gamers three times your age with much less ability. Keep it up.

Ok as they are urban and im building an urban board im most likely to just drybrush the base with coex grey and put the sentinel on double yelow lines!

another idea for bases, aside from gluing some sand or some such material on there, take your left over sprues, and chop it up into little pieces. you can use these as bricks (if you make em small enough) or "metal building supports"

Hey, Indiana has atleast an army 3 times the size of mine, so he gets to have alot more fun playing than me.
Let's not forget to mention that his models are clean- you can tell what is a gun, and what is his skin, and so on. A good group of my models..it's really hard to tell what's what.
Also, many people do not even paint their armies, and you did. That is showing your care you put in your army.
In short, I wish I was able to paint neatly like you, and have the time to get such a large army.
