To give credit where its due, i used to just paint them up mechrite red then blood red on top, then i discovered this memeber on dakka who has a website with a few extra painting stages, you should check out his work!

How is the work coming along dreadanant??? I have two vindicators, two baal flamestorm turrets to paint up and two rhino chassis!!! I have my work cut out for me!!! not to mention about 10 assault marines also!!!

Come on Niall, haven't had a picture update since the 5th of September!!! How's your Vindicator doing? The one that you had half started painting mechrite on?
I've added another 5 tacticals to my Raven Guard, we're getting there slowly!!

Vindi work has been slow! so much to do and not enough time!!!! i plan to get much painting done this week on account of me being off most of it, and me finishing the halo reach campaign!!!

Ok so i haven't updated in a while!!! I got a can of The Army Painter, Pure Red spray, and i'm not sure i like it, i nearly ruined my second vindicator due to the paint going on very thickly! Hope to get it sorted this week and post a few pictures! But tonight i was bored and made a wee miniature to go on my autocannon pred turret im working on at the moment. I like to think he's pretty bad ass! Wonder what sort of name would suit him!!! Have a look and see what you think!!!!

I think you put the legs part on top of the hatch, rather than through the underside.
But he still looks bad ass

Very cool tank commander! (don't forget to remove the mold lines, some people seem a little touchy about that )

Oh aye! Mold lines are the bane of my life!!! TBH they don't bother me that much! But people do go on about them!! I have a small Tau army and anytime i posted on the Tau forums it was ugh mold lines!!!

Anyways, after finding a suitably large brush, and a tub of mechrite red, i managed to base coat 2 razorbacks, a vindicator, rhino chassis, 2x dakka pred turrets, 5 termies, 5 assualt marines, 3x missile launcher marines, 3x melta, 1x plasma gunner!

So i am currently running no base black sprayed models anymore!!! Lets hope i can stay as motivated!!!!

I am back to work today, so hopefully the dullness of work will help me to come home and paint! I have lots of painting to do as i may be attending gaelcon at the weekend and entering a 1750 list!!! Gotta get painting though!!!

Ok, time for an update in this blog!! I have been working away on my first army, that being Tau the past while as i feel i gave up on them too soon! My Blood Angels however are nearly all complete and painted up.

Anyways, here is some of the work i have been working on! Basic painting has been done, tidy up needs done.

Great job overall mate !!! I would just change the tank commander of the predator's powerfist though into maybe a pointing hand since well lets say a powerfist in a tank is not exactly handy

Lol cheers, edge highlighting isnt that hard, but I noticed it was alot easyer in xv8's to learn

Couple of random updates for this blog. The Tau are coming along nicely, just have a few more suits, devilfish and tonnes of troops to paint up, so that it will take up lots of time!!!

I have completed my mini present for my mate and will also post a few pictures of him!

OK, so i got myself some of the new Blood Angels Models, and i have been working on the Furioso flat out! The Stormraven has nearly a full coat of mechrite on it! very time consuming with even the GW Large Brush!!!!

Anyways, here are a few photos of the Furioso for your C+C, painting is purely at the base stage, no washing or highlighting as yet.

Ok, so here is an update on my honour guard! It's my first real attempt at dynamic posing and cutting arms and wrists etc

As i posted in the tactics thread and listening to the feedback i'm going to run a plasma honour guard.

In the back ground you can see the nice resin bases i got for quite cheap which the honour guard will be mounted on.

I am just waiting on a few wee bits and pieces arriving in the post to finish them off!

Great looking stuff here, I like the custom bases in the background, and your paint scheme are very well done, one of the guys in our wargaming club just got started with blood angels, its also nice to see alot of people coming over to collecting Tau....bottom tier my butt
