(This last mini can be already found in the ALEPH starter)
Also, we can see in the Spanish forum some hints for September from the French magazine Ravage: - Blister with 3 Ghulam (same minis from a Starter) - Cassandra Kusanagi - Yaogat (probably a multi-part kit box) - Rebots (2)

Yeah, too bad it's only a blister with two minis. A box of 4 like the Caledonian Highlanders would have been perfect. I hope Corvus Belli will develope soon a second blister with more options for Métros!

Well...gak. I poked around the website and may have just sold myself on a small Nomad force. How do you get started with this game, and what does a starter force look like?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Then again...the highlanders are really cool, and the Combined Army has some sheer craziness to it.
Damn you, Dakka; I don't have the cash for this...

I do believe, in fact, that you've gone and found a way to make it MORE expensive than if you bought GW models!
THAT is an accomplishment!
Er, sort of...
Well, you are right, but I believe they do look awesome, more than the GW sisters ever would.
I did calcs today, and if I wanted to field a Troops Sister squad, it'd be at least 55 pounds. Ouch.
So far I'm able to field a Celestian retinue for the GW Canoness I bought. I don't think I can afford any more atm - I should be grateful for Maelstrom price reduction deals anyway
P.S ill upload some pictures of the Infinity sisters already done later today.

Keep in mind that you only use ~10 - 15 models in a game, so you're only buying each guys once. This is why I also loved Confrontation. Model quality was often superior to GW models, and had more individual personality. I always found that justified the slightly higher cost per model, and also made it easier and more enjoyable to paint a complete army.
YMMV
Er, I was replying to Alkasyn, who was saying he was going to make a Sisters of Battle army out of PanOceania troopers. I'm a BIG fan of INFINITY, and I certainly appreciate how easy it is to field many different factions somewhat easily.
Which is why I was a big fan of Confrontation too, until the Great Confragnarok Debacle ruined all that...
Holy crap, did I just nerdrage on you? Sorry mate! I'm usually a bit more careful about reading before posting. That's just embarassing...
I must still be a bit tender from the whole Confrontation clusterfelch!
I just went and picked up the Infinity rulebook. A bit pricey at $65 Canadian, but lots of full colour pics. I just need a few more minis then I'll be ready to throw down.

Ha! No problems there - I thought that was the case!

A lot of the rulebook is devoted to the background, and I have to say Ariadne has the greatest backstory. I don't have time to watch the vid, but I'm assuming they cover it. I've already started a Yu Jing force, but now I want to start an Ariadne force purely because of the history.

Unfortuantely, my camera went away with my family on holidays, so we will have to wait a bit until I can post them but it will happen this month

It's a wonderful range of miniatures, and I've ordered half a dozen quite sometime ago - however this is the first time I give any time to the background, and if anything it only makes me want to really get into the game.
If I didn't have such crazy appetite for plastics and super heavy converting, infinity would already be in my schedule.
Looking forward to more!

I hope they do some more, explaining all the rules with some crazy effects!!
They are VERY helpful, and greatly appreciated - but it has been my experience that your best bet is to get a demo from an experienced player and/or try and walk-through some games with a fellow beginner.
The 'official' forums are also VERY helpful, and we've got some good sources of info right here on Dakka too!
