Epic fail for my mates army.

He devised a SM army that used plasma weapons where possible.And I mean if there was an option for plasma then he took it. Was a while back in 4th ed so had 5 man squads, bikes, sarge, capt's etc etc. I had me nids.

1K game.

Turn 1, he goes 1st. He moves right across the board as much as he could then proceeds to fire and lose half of his own army to plasma malfunctions and failed saves. Killed a few on the nids with bolter fire, then I crashed fowards and nommed him to death.

There wasnt a turn 2..... Well more of a mop-up of what what was left of his army, which was locked in cc. Maybe 4 troops and a bike or two.

We were on a smallish board so wasnt much distance to cover.

My scout sarge Meltabombed a stompa, I have failed to realize that all of my assault marine squads are caught in the explosion, all of them died.

First game in a local tourney. I was playing, much like a previous poster, a SM list with plasma everywhere (it was my theme at the time). Plasma Pistols, Guns, Cannons, you name it- if I could take plasma, I did.

There is nothing (I repeat-nothing) more frustrating than rolling 8 1's for Gets Hot! and then the smattering of 1's & 2's for armor saves. Two squad sergeants with combi-plasmas, two plasmaguns, two plasma cannons, and about two plasma pistols all blew up in their wielder's faces. The Inquisitor, the only one to not have his combi-plasma kill him, was undoubtedly facepalming as my opponent just gave me a really sad look.

He gave me five points for a write in achievement at the end; "Plasma mishap" or somesuch. The judges thought it was funny.

I, not my foe, immobilized 4 tanks in difficult terrain in one turn. I was pretty sad.

last week I played my Tau vs orks. The double fail happened. Turn one I opened all of his transports except one, the one with the Nobz in it... Turn two I fire 3 broadsides, and some pulse rifles at it and all I get is one weapon destroyed. Next turn he moves, disembarkes WAaaagh's and rolls a 1 on his fleet, and is 1 inch short from my battle line. Whew.

I never said it was illegal. I'm saying that spending half your available points on your HQ isn't exactly the smartest decision.

4v4 Apocolypse game 4th ed.

I had 5 Grey Knights treminators and a Grandmaster (among other things). They got assaulted by a fairly large unit of Gaunts w/ the +1S upgrade from the 4th ed codex. They kindof fail and only get 9 wounds. . . it could have been a lot worse . . . until i roll 5 ones for my armor saves . . .

the Grandmaster took the rest of the buggers out, and then proceeded to get nommed by a carnifex

Not my game, but a while ago my girlfriend was playing her brother, she was using his Ork army. One of the ork vehicles had spikey bits on it and he assualted it. He skewered his entire squad on the thing (this was an older edition). They actually did call up GW to verify that is what would happen, and it was legal. So he seriously killed himself by assaulting a vehicle he made and should have known would kill him.

Playing a game today my guard vs another guard/SoB army

He jump packs his cannoness straight at one of my Leman russ tanks, she's got melta bombs.

He decides to use one, first, he misses with his attack. next turn I reverse my Leman russ, and give him a taste of plasma cannon and wound.

Shes got a 2+ inv save. My opponent, confident takes up the dice and promptly rolls a one.

Cannonness melted. After losing most of his sisters and some of his guard he gave me the victory.

This didn’t happen to me but i watched a squad of fire worriers kill a defiler in close combat!

Had my LRC parked on my opponent's objective from turn five to turn seven. I immobilized myself in the terrain, and he had three power fists and a chain fist whacking me. Massive amounts of 1's and 2's, ended up drawing the game for me instead of me losing.

This one may not be an Epic sized Fail, but it's pretty close as it gets for me, from what I've seen (in 40K at least).

During an Apoc game, my friend charged a unit of 5 of my Terminators with a Rough Rider Squad of 12. He had the initiative (since all I had were Power Fists, and the Sgt was Combat Squaded into a different unit.) He rolls all of his attacks, (upwards of 25, I think) and only hits me 6 times. Proceeds to try and wound me, and wounds me only twice. I roll for my 5+ Invul saves, and make one of them. My Terminators then return with their attacks and kill 7 of his Rough Riders (with 8 attacks). His Rough Riders retreat, and by the following turn, they were off the board.

Pretty Epic moment for me, personally...

I got another! SM VS BA
I go first an move my 3 Preds with a Rhino in the middle all out at my enemys LR- I call it my "Arrowhead Formation"- The front and right Pred pop smoke.
His turn.
He shoots 2 Twin linked Lascannons at one pred- the one with all the Lascannons.
Scores a Weapons Destroyed and stunned, but i then pass both saves.
My turn.
I shoot my pred lascannon at his LR. I hit, then I rolled a two penatrate, then a on the Damage Chart. YAY!
Two turns later after all thats left is his Captain, libby,and terimies, I kill 3 of his termies with one Flamer. Then when his libby uses some anti armor thing at my vechicales and makes the test and rolls for armor pentration, I say he going to roll 2 and one 2. AND HE DOES!!!!!!

Epic fail was all mine last week. 750 game where I played Space Wolves for the first time against Orks. I only have a SW figures right now but fielded 6xWolf Guard termies, two lots of 6xGrey Wolves, Dreadnought & Rune Priest.

I then proceeded to fail all but a handful of saves! My Terminators all rolled 1's for Armour Saves! And when I finally got my Rune Priest in line with 3 MegaNobz he rolls 2's for his saves!

I've never rolled so badly. It's actually putting me off continuing with Space Wolves :(

My brother shot a plasma cannon at a mob of trukk boyz, it scattered horribly and hit the rear armor of his rhino blowing it to smithereens. It was pretty EPIC FAIL worthy

Playing a team 2v2 battle, and my friend's Marbo pops up. He demo charges and kills 6 terminators and a Lord in terminator armor, leaving a stunned lonely terminator standing a few feet from him.

We then proceed to shoot the battlecannon from a LRBT at a Rhino about 10 inches away from Marbo. One bad scatter later....splat marbo. Like a hero.

I had 5 Twin linked Assault cannons that all fired at my opponents one chaos dread on the front armor, 20 shots hit, rolled 0 6's for pen. dread untouched, it was fail.

This wasn't really my opponents epic fail, but it was this random guy from a long time ago. I had just walked into town, and had started playing a game with boss scar. nids vs spacey. it was a king-of-the-hill stile game but the 'hill' was on his side (spaceys)

who commanded the Leman Russ to do that?

In one of the starter games my opponent was tryinging to assualt a tau fire warriorsquad but the turn before my bloodletters and skulltaker chargded him killing 7 of his men , me only takeing 1 loss , the tau player thankded me , and the kid who faillded to kill the tau startded saying i was cheating and startded mocking me , sadly i told him i dont think that his Sphees marins aint that good

Played a game the other day, my Orks vs my opponent's Crimson Fists. He had terrible luck with the dice gods that day... All 3 of my trukks survived long enough to disgorge their cargo within striking distance of 3 of his squads; he only managed to kill 1 with his multi-lascannon Devastator squad, and the other two survived, between them: two Tactical Squad rocket launchers, two Rhinos ramming a single trukk on side armor, a scout with a melta, and Pedro Kantor's mighty powerfist.

We both had a great time, though. It was one of those matches where you can't help but laugh at some of the dice rolls.

Tyranid player fail. Deep strikes his mawlock in front of my banehammer, shadowsword, baneblade and two land raiders.

One dead mawlock later....
guy packed up and left the game.

Same game another guy decided to tank shock my deathwing. Deathwing passed the LD test, and he rammed his friend's leman russ which then got an immobilised result, and rhino ended up immobilised.

chaos terminators running from mere guardsmen? madness I say.

Fail from this REALLY REALLY annoying, obnoxious kid @ my local GW: DS his TH/SS termies (on a side note of epic phailness: they were AOBR termies with rhino hatches as SS) right in front of my army and this other necron player's monolith and warriors.

Necron player's turn: Monolith; particle whip, dead termies, and yes he failed 5 3++ saves.

Oh and a pretty epic moment for me and not so much for my tau opponent:

His huge outflanking kroot mob killed my assault termies and termie epistolary, except for one brave LC termie. By the very fact he was still alive, the kroot took a Ld test and failed and ran right off the board!

And in another game with same opponent:
Sternguard sergeant is by himself versus 10 FW. I fail to even hit the fire warriors. In return, he fails to wound me. And this goes on for like 4 assault phases.
