Or failing that a Dwarf Engineer would be fun. But preferably being on the getting drunk and building crazy contraptions end of the spectrum rather than the serious putting grudges on other engineers that steal my ideas and fixing cannons.

Empire, a handgunner in the second rank, with faux-leather armor (my lord was cheap apparently) and a cheap short sword as sidearm... ready to steal the captain's horse so I can flee properly at any moment.

A wood elf glade rider. Athel Loren is one of the few places in the Warhammer world that is relatively safe to natives (the farthest a trespasser has gotten is one mile in, and that was the Battle of the Cairns). No politicking like other elves, two other nations to serve as allies/buffers, and only one persistent enemy to worry about. Besides a natural life living on the land appeals to me.

actually now that I think about it, probably an emprire engineer with the armor of dink- boing... thats the Armor of ptolos+Dawnstone (50 points)
