Thanks a lot. And I saw your combi-weapon, and it seems that only you and I thought of that, since I've never seen a side-fed Combi-bolter around.

PS 1: on the Wolves sprue comes a better head for Ragnar.

PS 2: last night, I wanted to prime as I said, and the can ran out of gas, I was so annoyed that I just went to sleep. I'll see if I can buy a new can today.

I'm not to sure about the positioning of your combi-melta marine. The way he leans to the left and how the level his weapons looks kinda off. Maybe if you lowerd the combi-melta abit......I don't know -.- Hard to explain.

And I'm glad to see that the thread is not dead, keep up the good work!

Well, perhaps he'll look better when I add the face (looking to his right), but seeing the picture now that I'm more awake than last night, I can imagine my Wolf Guard singing "Oooooh sooooole miiiio!!!"

This Sunday resumed working on my long neglected wolves due my obligations and other hobbies.

For starter, I've finished Brother Trygve and Wolf Guard Eirik, posing with Brother Sven:

And more wolves I'm working with, and also Njal in his heavily blinged Tactical Dreadnought Armour (which will be a pain in the arse for me to paint)

Funnily enough, my friends think that I'm an awesome painter xDDD but you what they say... In the land of the blind...

A small update on the rest of the pack. I'm laying the base colours before I wash them.

Aaaaaand I'm rusty, aaaaaaand my shoulder got really stiff trying to control the brush, which doesn't happends when I use a brush for inking (not even when doing a Hauberk)

Well, I'm near finishing my first pack, and while I'm still a crappy painter, at least I've found a way to cut my painting on a 50% more or less while keeping my ""quality"".

Here I have, almost finished, from left to right: Olaf, Gunhild, Thorstein and Hakon.

By the way, I totally picture Hakon shouting "For Crom!" instead of "For the Emperor!" xD

What is this method you speak off? If there's a way to cut down my painting time by 50% and still keep up the quility, I'd like to here it.

Marines looking decent, you may wanna go over the red with a foundation before doing their final colour, the blue is showing through atm

Sorry, I just saw your comment and by chance D=

I used to prime black, then apply some layers of dark gray, then light gray, wash and such.

Now I use Krilon's "neutral gray" primer, and that's not only my primer, but also my basecoat, and regarding the armour, it only needs a wash and some drybrush and looks just the same as what I was doing before.

On a good note, I've found a place that sells Citadel washes, so I'll get some there, since when I don't have to pay the $35 shipping myself it starts to sound reasonable.

They're not bad at all, I like them =), and the only thing they need is to have their guns drilled.

You need no drill xD Got a hobby knife?

If you do, go to the hardware store and get the thinnest drillbit they have (1mm should do).

Once back at home, get some masking tape, though regular adhesive tape works, and make the base of the drillbit thicker and thicker.

Done that, place the drillbit on the hobby knife handle where the blade goes and there you have a cheap and multi-use knife/hand drill.

Alright. Thanks good luck with the wolves
