I loved Unbreakable (own it), signs i can live without, and this movie... I think it looks contrived, but my wife wants to see it, so I guess I will see it.

When I was in the theater when this trailer was running people seemed interested.
   - I'm one of those people who likes to check the crowd behind him.
Then Shyamalan's name came up at the end of the trailer and laughter ensued.
Not groans, but the laughter of a punchline being delivered.

Biggest problem is that M. Night Shalalalalananananana has lost the formula to the movies he did make and were good in many ways. After awhile, the movies he did make were not very good at all and hence his respectability as a movie maker are now questioned at every turn.

This is literally what happened when I went to go see The Expendables at the midnight showing, and this was the first time that preview was put in theatres.

Also, watch press conferences, and/or any situation where either director (Shyamalan and Spielberg) are being criticized and watch how they respond.

Actually I was thinking of raising the Anti-Christ and starting the path to Armageddon.

Lucas wrote and produced Crystal Skull; it was Lucas's pet project. Either way, Spielberg directing a movie you didn't like still doesn't say why you think he's a prick. At best you could say it made him a hack, or a poor director.

On Topic: Went to the theater last night and there was a very audible groan that arose from the audience when Shyamalan's name popped up. It made me quite happy, as he's ruined Avatar's chance at having a movie that could do justice to the series.
