Starsdawn: I do the bases using citadel basing stones, the ones in the plastic tub. Glue them using pva then use black ink to colour and add a bit of depth.
On some models I have started using various different flocks from the railway modelling world, i find them a bit cheaper and there is more choice too. I've got really fine (smaller than sand) greys and blacks, some sand like textured stuff, some fine flock in different greys and black (looks like stoney rubble) and some fine cork (this works a treat as stone and rubble). I generally don't paint these bases as they look pretty good after gluing.

I'd once again like to thanks everyone for there help, this 40k universe is mind boggling for us newbies.
I've been thinking some more about the name here are some that i'm thinking about.
Crimson Cross
Crimson Crusaders
Crux Crusaders
Scarlet Crusaders
Knights of Outremar
Angels of Outremar
Outremar was going to be my home planet (comes from the french word outremer meaning 'overseas' and it was the name for the land that the oringinal crusaders controlled back in the day.
They will follow the standard codex, if Angels do they have to follow the Blood Angels codex, because i was thinking of some good back stories like the planet is by Baal but the marine do not suffer the black rage due to mutation or something like that and follow the standard codex.
I'll put some more pics of the army so far in the painting modelling section soon.

Greetings Leroy, and welcome! Here are my votes:
(1) The Scarlet Crusaders. I notice you took a liking to 'crusaders' and it is a pretty good word, but I personally don't think alliteration has much place in naming chapters, so I'd shy away from 'crimson.' Also, 'crimson' is a really common word in this hobby, but scarlet isn't one we hear as often, so it feels more original to me.
(2) Knights of the Red Cross. You could go with "crimson cross," but you'd be running into both of my above criticisms.
Of these two, I think the first is better. Either way, you can use some fantasy knight helmets occasionally, to give it that holy warrior feel. As far as your codex, I would think you'd want to go with Black Templar, if anything, not Blood Angels. This seems like it would be a BT second founding, but the Templar themselves are already a second founding of Imperial Fists, so I'm not sure how that works.
As a final note, you should name your chaplain like this, "______, the Black Paladin."
Cheers, good work, and good luck,
Exile

Pristine Angels ~1200 points and counting (new current army, largely a kitbash between various CSM and BA plastics, with a few choice conversions)
Nightseers of Ul'Sorrash ~1500 points (backup army to teach friends how to play; at some point will be properly converted to an Exodite army) |

Angels of Outremar gets my vote or Outremar Claws or Guard sounds OK too.
Seeing as your paintwork isn't quite red in colour you could go for something like Salmon Salamanders? Maybe?

Also, it's almost impossible for me to say "Outremar" without feeling like I'm saying "Ultramar," which I believe is the home planet of the Ultramarines. Not sure if this would bother you, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention. If it does bother you, you could try some other mutation of "outre mer." You could call the planet something like "Tremere Prime." That's just off the top of my head.
Cheers,
Exile

How about Seraphim to tie in with the Blood Angels.
Like The Scarlet Seraphim or Crimson Seraphim (I prefer Scarlet)
Or maybe Crimson Archangels?

I'm kinda confused why people are talking about angels. His iconography is a cross, not wings. If he's going to call the chapter any iteration of 'seraphim,' or even 'angel,' he'd have to start loading wings onto everything.

ExiledinElysium is right, i don't fancy painting wings on everything, also i don't want to follow the blood angels codex, the templars were my first choice as they seemed the coolest but having scanned throught the codex in my local gw shop i didn't take to them so much, i wanted some kind of army structure with squad markings and so on. This is why i think i will follow the standard codex.
Once again some great ideas, just when i settle on one someone throws in another good name.
I have more pics now, which is the best forum to put them in if i want some feedback.

All the Space Marines are known as the 'Angels of Death'. As for wings, most of the current Space Marine armours have wings on their chests from the Emperor's Aquila (eagle). Some of the chapters use the word angel in their name such as the Blood Angels and the Dark Angels; a chapter does not have to have anything to do with these well known chapters to use the word angel in their name as all Space Marines are angels (of death). Remember the marines are best known for their drop pod assaults descending from the heavens like vengeful angels out to smite their foes.

Thanks again cadbren, Im pretty sure is now between
1.The Scarlet Crusaders
2.Angels of Outremar
3.Crusaders of Outremar
I might as some people have suggested use some play on Outremar like Outremer Prime or somethiing like that for the plant. I like the sound of Outremar as it is pretty close sounding to Ultramar. Easy to remember. As for the meaning it can have some good backgroung story.

Oh cool! I didn't know all that. I figured BA were so named because Sanguinius had wings, and I hadn't really come up with an explanation for DA lol.
@Leroy - you probably didn't take much to the Templar codex because it's outdated. Do you like the idea of having an Emperor's Champion in your army? I always thought that little touch was pretty cool. The standard codex will work just fine, I'm sure, but in the event GW puts out a 5th edition Templar 'dex, you should take a look at it. As a sidenote, I'm stoked you've got Scarlet Crusaders on your top list; that's my favorite of the names offered thus far. So you like that Outremar sounds like Ultramar? I would have thought that'd be a negative, or at best a neutral--I'm surprised you consider it a positive.
Cheers,
Exile

First I must say welcome.
I would just add some possible names for your consideration.
AKELDAMA (Ἀκελδαμά): Greek form of Aramaic ħqêl dmâ, meaning "field of blood." In the bible, this is the name of the place where Judas Iscariot committed suicide.
TALUTAH: Native American Sioux name meaning "blood-red."
HAEMON (Άιμον): Variant spelling of Greek Haimon, meaning "bloody." In mythology, this is the name of a son of Creon and Eurydice.
