Rurouni, ah, of course, you can only shoot 1 weapon after a DS, right? I play Dark Angels, so my speeders don't deep strike anyway, annoyingly (but my bikes can outflank or make scout moves, so it almost evens out I guess!).

Yeah, your list does look impressive, generally. I don't think this was the wrong place to post it, at all -- the OP was looking for advice as to what works with bike squads, and you certainly offered that.

This is an argued point from my point of view and its been 50/50 so far but maybe you guys can shine some light on this since GW stinks at explaining anything. Kor'Sarro Khans Chapter Tactics - If you include Khan then all units in your army exchange Combat Tactics special rule for the ability to outflank. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THIS, all dedicated transports also gain the ability to outflank. Does that mean I can choose to use is Chapter Tactic? o.O I hate GW's wording. To me that means I can choose and I would choose Combat Tactics. FOR KHAN AND EMPEROR ! HONORED BE HIS NAME !

I guess if you don't choose to outflank your vehicles dont get it

Chapter tactics is replaced by his ability for you to have the option to choose to outflank or not

I believe that, though GW says that, combat tactics is kept only if there is another HQ using said tactics. Else, from what I know of the other Special Characters, the tactics have to be taken (I mean, if only Kantor is there, you'd have to use his tactics right? As he's the commander. But if kantor and an ultramarine captain are there, you'd have your choice of either, I'd assume)

Wow, I was surprised to see this thread at the top of the list. I thought it had died months ago.

I've since begun to use the bikes in a double wing Dark Angels list.

A bike list needs support to be really effective. Given what you posied, this is what I would bring as support for my bikes.

I would suggest a different composition of your bikes (for example, bike sergeants do not get an extra CC weapon, so a power weapon only has 2 attacks -- your better off giving them a fist) but that's a different topic.

I've played a bike army for 2 years now, and I agree with this statement. "Bikes Only" is not enough to do the job against a well-rounded opponent. You will do well vs. the people not equipped to face you, and get facerolled by the others.

A hybrid army is what is required to do well with bikes. The list that Rurouni posted is a good example of one. I used a different list, and also did very well at my local 'ard boys, coming in at 4th place with my hybrid bikes.
