I want the second TA1 - Aa'ngor in its original box. I saw one on ebay a couple of years ago, but not since. Own the model (twice) and own the box I bought it in years ago, but the cover picture has long gone.

I'd really like TA2 - The Dwarf Juggernaut, but its goes for a lot.

I have a real affection for the C28 Demon models, but cannot recall ever seeing them.

I already have most things I would want (none of these are my paintjobs)...

Centurius:
lurks somewhere in my parent's attic waiting for the day I dig him out.

Zogrod wortsnagga, my all time top Ork model:

though I still have the banner pole as well

I also have the old ghazkull and makari and a khorne ork stormboy (nazi style) too which is pretty nifty.

But the one thing I would love to have... a 'new' unpunched, complete copy of warhammer quest. The game is only so-so and the models are horribly dated, but it would certainly be a nice addition to the collection.

@legoburner,
I agree about Zodgrod 100% some of the older Ork models just ooze character, I recently picked up some madboys from ebay, asides from them being a bit smaller than the current miniatures they still fit in.

My other Holy Grail was the green leather bound edition of 'The Armour Of Contempt' (only 300 printed). I had the other 3 and searched for nearly 3 years before getting my grubby mits on a copy.

For me, it's Eldar. In their entirety. I love the army, I love the play-style and I love the appearance. I have never got more than a couple of boxes and codex before putting them down for Space Wolves.

They are by far my favourite army in 40K, I just can't do them justice and they are bastards to paint and collect. Maybe one day...

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Thats a good one Just Dave, and reminds me of my final one.. White Scars, love everything about them, background, style, would love a fully converted and painted army.

Only two issues with that, I know I don't currently possess the conversion skills needed, and also I can't paint white to save my life.

One day though, one day.

When speaking of models, my old 1st edtion advanced dungeons and dragons ones, in multiple small boxes that came with their own foam trays.

As for 40k, I don't really have anything rare but am damn proud of my three god specific chaos lords with demon weapons, jump packs and all the specific heads, pauldrons and such. No nurgle one though.

I want to model all my heroes. And I want to collect my 22nd and collect 25 marines for each of my DIY chapters. And the Emperor's Shields.
And I also want 2 land raiders. And then buy 2 super-heavies.
*cough*Malnar*Cough*
I have yet to think of a way to build my most favorite hero! The Icon of my chapter! But I have never found a way to make him in the pose I want. A striking pose like he is basically throwing a ultramarine successor chapter chapter master to the ground and his eyes are blazing with inner fire, and his sword is double bladed and he is riding on thin air. (inspired partially by Dark Lord Sean's Work on Death of the Emperor) I really wish i could do that but my skills as a modeler are limited.

I've done pretty well, my time in China with more space and money than I have now let me tick off a lot of boxes.

Both Realms of Chaos books.
The RT Compendium and Compilation
Armorcast Reaver (still haven't painted it after a year or more)

I still need the original chapter approved book to complete my RT book collection (I don't count the vehicle and battle books).

My grails would be the Kislevite Shaman & Halfling Thief character packs for Warhammer Quest. I've never seen one and have no idea what actually comes with the packs. When I got WHQ, they were available from GW mail order only. But, I couldn't get a straight answer as to the contents so I never ordered them. Now, I feel like a dummy.

We all love getting gallery votes...

That's quite an easy find; I picked one up off ebay for 4 quid the other week. Just search the uk ebay listings and find someone who will post overseas.

I've never really found anything all that hard to get as I've been in the hobby for quite awhile.

I suppose if I had to pick one it would be the armorcast Phantom Titan which I finally bought and then sold a decade later for quite a markup.

Oddly enough, I don't think I have a "holy grail" model .

Pretty much everything I've ever wanted, I've gotten in short order (and sometimes regretted and then traded/sold).

Of course, I have a massive minis collection, so this shouldn't be too big of a surprise.

At this point, storage and organization are more of a challenge than acquisition.

I almost began a thread about this after doing some groceries on the weekend at Woolles and noticing this gimick...

My Holy grail was the entire metal Rackham Confrontation collection: Which I now own, New in Box/Blister after many months of haggling and buying from various sources. Im actually selling off the duplicates to fund moving overseas... PM me if you want a list.

My next Holy Grail will probably be some Illyad minis that are very difficult to find...

LOL you're thinking of the ones from the 2000s, I'm thinking of the one from the late 80s. The last one I saw was from the UK and had a $150 price tag. Thank the Space Emporer for Bit Tor- I mean uh my vivid imagination.

Paintjob aside, it looks like rubbish. Why is it sought after? You could easily achieve similar with a few plastic marines and some journeyman basing skills.

My personal holy grail is the original RT Ork Battlewagon kit. I had 3 which I bought when it was released, which I stupidly chopped up for conversions a couple of years ago. I got my hands on another one recently, which is nearly complete, and now I can't bring myself to build it. Silly really.
