He's like the captain hook of dreadnoughts lol, great tutorial though, I actually think your re-modeled CCW arm looks more believable than GW's. I've always that the already clunky dred would suffer from T-Rex arm syndrome the way GW modeled it, yours looks like i can't actually reach out and touch someone in a most un-gentle manner.

I like to think of the dread extending the arm and spinning 180 degrees at the waist, figure the blade could get some decent inertia behind it that way and would get past the "T-Rex Syndrome" you talked about Brother Heinrich.

And yes Bossasaurus, it would be good for squishing bugs

a frightening thought indeed, though I still think you should have an array of various attachements like in the movie Hook lol

Hehe, so far I have a dread hand, so it can be a furioso, a halberd for the hand to hold, the big broadsword attachment, and this one so yeah it's kind of a swiss army knife of a dread arm

Looks cool. If you're going to do the whole "swiss army dread" thing, make an assault cannon hand that fits into the wrist slot. I've always thought that having a cannon there would make more sense than the GW one. Unless dreadnought pilots have trouble using joints, having a "hand" mounted cannon vs a shoulder mounted one would be a large improvement in aiming/flexibility.

Dang! I just built a new assault cannon arm a couple of days ago and should have tried something different like that. The chapter I am building for is pretty vanilla and sticks close to the codex astartes but maybe for the next chapter I build I will try out some new variants, cheers!

I must say the blade is cool. You're building this for a BA army, right?

Yeah the idea is that the BA player is able to run a furioso or a libby dread with power weapon so he can be multi-role.

I actually gave it to the client a couple of days back and he was pretty happy with it, I ended up giving him all the different arms and weapons I had built for it and he was stoked to have so many options.

If you guys like the serrated edge have a look at this

This is a commission I did for a local club member who wanted more of a an axe look to the CCW blade so I beefed up the blade and ran the serrated edge down to the elbow joint. I later added a blood angels blood drop to the blade.

Cheers
