I buy it sometimes....if its overrun by Warhammer fantasy articles, I have a tendency to pass. I only buy it when its chalked full of 40k stuff....4-5 years ago, I bought it all the time, because it was only 5$....but now, for some baffling reason, its practically the price of a hardback novel!

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

The Dude - "Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man."

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

Good magazine. I like it. It interests me most when there is material about armies I play (Orks, Wood Elves, Mordor). I also like reading about Apoc and WOTR. I'm not that interested in painting or modelling tutorials, and Battle Reports only sometimes interest me (I'd usually rather play than read about someone else playing).

All in all, it is a GREAT magazine. But because of the cost, I don't buy it every month (skip 3 months and you've saved enough to buy a box of models). Still, I have a keen interest in each month's offerings and consider it a special treat to be able to pick up a copy.

TYRANID ARMY and more for sale. Many Price Drops. 40K and More.

I'm just not interested. I used to buy it when I first started, and look back fondly at some of my old favourite issues - 207, 234, 238. But nowadays, I'm simply not interested in it any more.

Looking for fun articles on painting, tactics and wargaming? Are you after a new regular blog to follow? Are you a bit bored with nothing better to do?

If the answer to any of the above is 'well, I guess' you could probably do worse than read my blog! Regular wargaming posts, painting and discussions

I usually only buy it where the is a painting technique tutorial that I'm particularly interested in & want to keep for my files.

It's just trying to cover too many games. I play one GW game... so in any given magazine there is only a small percentage that even has a chance of interesting me.

Instead of a poll we could have an ongoing sweepstake to see how soon the next, "WD waddaya think Dakka?" thread pops up.
With the money raised we could buy WD and write the wrongs ourselves!

Back in the late 90s I frequently picked up copies of White Dwarf,as most issues were filled with interesting/useful articles.
However,IMO,the magazine has simply devolved into a glossy sales catalog,so I don't bother with it anymore.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

I have only bought two WD issues at full price and one of those was to obtain the Spearhead rules. The magazine has eye candy in it but it's high cover price and hit and miss content keeps me away. MY LGS often has copies that are a few months old on sale for $0.50-$1.00 each so I have picked up older issues to read while bored at work. Even at the lower price there are a few issues I have only flipped through and then set aside because the focus was on an army or game system that didn't appeal to me.
