Is there a thread or group elsewhere (outside the Dakka rumors section) for discussion and revision suggestions for these rules?

I'd also like to add that alongside the warbands that get free Marines, Genestealers etc. the Void Pirates warband looks pretty seriously underpowered. They could use some extra goodies of some sort. Or have they just been made less powerful in return for getting to field xenos? Seems kind of a lousy trade...

Sure enough, I hadn't gotten around to going over all the lists before posting.

Maybe just something as simple as an icon as wargear, appropriately priced, which work in a similar way to the icons in the CSM and Daemons codex. They are summoned by reserve rolls like in the CSM codex but cannot assault the turn they are summoned like in the Daemons codex. Perhaps the summoning model must remain stationary or move at half movement(possibly without the ability to fire weapons or assault but could fight in HtH if assaulted) to focus on keeping them in the physical realm and/or they must stay within a certain range of the summoner or risk being banished back to the warp. There could be the options to have multiple models purchase icons allowing the Daemon greater mobility or at least more freedom for the summoning models to move where they want. So a sort of chain of icons could keep or strengthen the summoning of daemons, but would cost the controlling players alot of points to have stronger summoning power.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

The modified Rules Addendum is up, hope you all like the little changes I made to the basic ruleset!

Not yet, but I'll look into seeing about a forum...

Void Pirates will never receive Allies. However, I'd be willing to hear suggestions on how anyone thinks they can be beefed-up a bit (more experience per battle, more income generation, etc.)

I'll consider this in my next update.

that makes sense, i have another issue which is with ogyrns and also with the tech-adapt. It seems that i can have an ogyrn be a tech-adapt, or a sage, which seems cool but not entirely fluffy, also seems i can have a ratling also be a techpriest am i wrong in this reading, this seems to be fun for modelling and characters but not realy fluffy

I've edited the Inquisition list and the Mutant Mob list.

Thanks for the help!

I'm currently trying to update the Bestiary, Species & Races, and Treacherous Conditions list and finish the Nobilist factions, Xenos Strike Force, and Allies lists.

One thing I forgot to mention before - in the entry for Plaguebearers there is a error that refers them as Daemonettes.

I can't see the new warband listings without logging in too google docs

we are very excited now that the Bizaar is up...

do all psykers have a mark or something that says they can use psychic powers? or is it the selection or Wyrd that makes them a psyker?

are you going to make new skills? or did I miss a new skill list.

as far as abhumans as odd races I say forget fluff... should be open... if someone wants to be fluff heavy then do so if someone wants to make some weird abhuman list well then have fun... I like the idea of a more open ended lists... anything can happen...

I'm not able to access the mutants and inquisition lists now . . . possibly a problem with updating?

Anyway, the whole thing looks great. As I said, I haven't been able to look at those two, so does the Inquisition allow daemonhosts? Those were always such an interesting option in 40k.
Edit: Ah, just saw Daemonhosts in the chaos covens list. Looks awesome!
Also, why not allow more than one of certain mutations, like extra arms or tentacles?

This is very timely for me
A couple of the kids at our gaming group came up with their own take on Necro which would seem to fit in with Inquisimunda.

Not entirely sure what they are planning but it seems to involve IG at the moment.

Could be a very useful resource
Thanks

Like Iridiumstern, I'm having trouble loading the new documents. You might need to reload them, ancientsociety.

And thanks for the new round of updates!

As far as balancing the Void Pirates upwards goes, increased income and access to exotic weaponry sounds good indeed. I'm afraid I have no concept of the scale of those increases that would be needed to balance out the other warbands' allies though. Do any other posters have a suggestion for how much to up the Pirates' income levels etc. to make things balanced?

Nice revisions! Looks like some balance has been found- looking forward to playtesting these soon.

Am I correct in thinking that the Void Pirates' income was raised significantly?

And I cannot WAIT to model up a loxatl. In fact, I might have to put the 11-Wave-Serpent-painting-project for a day and bash together some xenos. A Hrud, some loxatl, Kroot and maybe even an Eldar outcast... Look out bitzbox, here I come!

Oh, and again thank you for all your hard work on this ancientsociety! Much appreciated!

You're welcome

Yes they rec'd an income boost, as well as updating experience rec'd for all Dark Eldar warbands and Freebootas. Additionally, they're the only ones immune to Leaking Atmosphere in Treacherous Conditions!

Nice, very fluffy.

A question on armory items: Why cant' the Holy upgrade be applied to shock or power weapons?

Because it would be too confusing...? (though that's not a very defensible position the more stuff I produce for Inquisimunda...)

It's a great idea but I'd feel like if I updated a list significantly after someone put a lot of effort into creating a warband...

i think once you have all the warbands done and are happy with them, a comp would be ace, but every gamer knows things change and wouldn't mind
