That depends on the amount of liquid present. If you have a vat full of tea, you can bet that it'll dissolve more than two teaspoons. It also depends on what you see as a teaspoon...

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I beg to differ, I can usually get at least a half dozen (table spoons) to disolve in one of my mugs.

I should rephrase: you're all mental for drinking that much sugar. I mean why not just grab a can of coke?

These are tough times! You need as much energy as possible to get through a day of meaningless bothers! Drink your tea with more sugar!

For me, my favorite is barely tea(with a tad bit of sugar), a habit I picked up in Beijing. From what I understand it is also very popular in Korea. I also like a good green leaf, chrysanthemum, Chai, southern sweet tea, and Thai Ice Tea. If you can find Thai Ice Tea from a good Thai restaurant get it, it is the prefect drink to cool your throat after eating thai food.

All tea is good tea. I especially like that minty turkish tea, no idea what it's called. If you're from anywhere in Asia you drink tea.

No exceptions

I don't know how it works in the rest of the world, but in Australia chai, no matter where you get it, is insipid. I went to India and had chai and it was wonderful. I came back here all keen to enjoy the chai I'd seen on sale everywhere but had never bothered to try, and well, it sucked.

Can you do something like hold this guy hostage and therefore corner the market on iced teas?

It would be pretty tough, considering the giant gate surrounding his mansion, and all the employees/bodyguards/hitmen he has. He's never actually handed out the iced tea personally, it's always his cronies at the front gate doing it. He sounds like a mysterious mafia boss now that I think about it.

But that won't stop me, he who controls the iced tea controls the universe!

Mostly I drink Irish Breakfast, although I've been on a bit of a Chai binge lately due to an ongoing sore throat. I've also got a bag or two of Oolong and Darjeeling sitting about, although they don't get pulled out too often.

I guess I'll have to look for that yorkshire stuff, is it even available in the US or is it only a british thing? I've heard of it but don't remember ever seeing it before.

I think one problem I have is I don't taste things as good as most people. It's hard for me to tell the difference between brands or types of the same kinda food or drink. Like, all beer just tastes the same to me. Same with coffees or chocolate. My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts when I tell her hershey tastes the same as godiva, but to me it does. So one brand of regular tea will probably all just taste like "tea". I think that's why I go for the bolder, flavored stuff.

Umm, on topic, ... Green tea.../shrug.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Real men drink a strong cup of Lapsang Souchong. MMmmmm. Smokey teas.

The Twinings brand is actually quite nice, though I do think I prefer loose leaf varieties of it.

Kashmiri Chai is also incredibly tasty.

I enjoy Irish Breakfast Tea quite a bit as well. The smokiness of the Lapsang Souchong just hooks me a bit more .

Granted, Lapsang isn't an everyday tea.

I second (or third) the Irish Breakfast Tea. It is certainly one of the finest everyday teas around.

My usual brew is Red Rose tea, simply because it is dirt cheap and better than lipton's. I just learned it is Canadian!

Now Sweet Tea, not iced tea, is a phenomenal thing when done correctly. I live too far south to have easy access to it in Tampa, FL, but once you get into Georgia they make one that will blow you away. I'm less familiar with the Northern limits of Sweet Tea, although my Grandma in West Virginia makes a pretty good batch.

It is absolutely a regional delicacy. If you have not had it in the American South then you really have no idea what you're missing.

If you'd like to find out, here's a quick recipe- take 4 to 8 tea bags and a gallon of boiling water. Start stirring the water and begin adding sugar until it begins to reach the bottom. Take a break, and stir. If the sugar dissolves, add more. Repeat until the sugar stops dissolving, no matter how much you stir it. This will still not be as good as proper Southern tea, but it will come close.

Place it in the refrigerator overnight, or pour the tea into a cup full of ice. Drink up!

Lipton is trash... There, i said it! I advance Twinnings as the premiere mass fabricator of tea bags. However i prefer a French company's (le palais du the) range. Earl Gray, Imperial Russian (assam w/oranges) and other great flavours. But no sugar.... it spoils the taste.
