As far as I am concerned, they are reasonable alternatives to Warhounds... at a better price. I would pay that much money to FW for the body section ALONE, let alone the weapons.

Me too Jack...

Mad4Minis wrote:Any guesstimates for the other releases for the others, or at least the Crusader? The crusader will be a must have for me, most likely followed by the Gabriel as soon as it comes out.

I was reading your blog...nice to see the cost breakdown but possibly not necessary. Anyone who will cry about $350 for something of this size and quality is nuts. Hell a Forgeworld titan will run you close to $1000 with all its accessories, and IMO they aren't nearly as cool.

The Crusader needs to have all the add-armor and sword molds made. Not sure of an exact date... but its a higher priority than finding a caster, so..ASAP? Gabriel and the others will be printed at the same time, still no date. The problem is when I start casting, all the other work needs to happen in between casts while the resin is setting. Not ideal and rather ad-hock.

The post to explain costs may not have been necessary. I just like being very upfront and the fact that most companies feel its taboo to discuss such things means that the average person has no way of understanding why they need to fork out such large sums of money for a plastic toy.

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

I'm really looking forward to them (although personally I'd love the option to freely pick what arms are included, even though I'm likely to order some more for duplicates if the arms are ambidextrous)

So far the only arm not grabbing me (HAH!) is the sword.

It may not have been "strictly" necessary, but it was very informative, and I think honesty always goes a long way towards a vendor's credibility.

Whilst I'm an unabashed Forgeworld fan (hell, I've got a Reaver coming for Christmas ), I think such an explanation from them would probably be well received.

Both...since resin is a type of plastic.

(so resin)

Nose Goblin,

I have been a huge fan of your work for years. I actually own one of the original Gabriels (cast number 8). I am very much looking forward to the release of all of these models.

My question for you is about the game itself. Are these current Leviathans the "medium" sized varients, or the "heavy" sized varients. Just wondering what to expect in the years to come.

Hey Cuda,

Due to to print process I use to get the really small details the cost of the initial print is very high, although I may make a larger kit at some point, these are considered heavies. Mediums will be about 7 to 7.5" tall and lights 5 to 5.5 " tall. This all depends on the design, you gould have a short but broad heavy or a very tall light if its slender.

You mentioned 15mm scale leviathans, any idea on when those are likely to come down the pipeline (and what sort of cost the simpler models would be)?

Well that answers that question for me. I was hoping that since you updated the Gabriel design that you would also update the popular "Blockhead" Leviathan design. The day I decided to order one of those was the day they were no longer available.

Mark, these are wicked cool and as a fellow caster I know many of the set up pains you've gone through. Pricing is tough because most people have no idea what type of time and effort goes into the production. This thing is a monster and I can't imagine how much resin and mold material it uses, hopefully it will cast cleanly and avoid wasting too much material on miscasts.

I love the design and I am going to have to look into getting a copy once the holidays are past. Excellent work.

When you get this sorted I will definitely be getting at least one crusader for my fledgling custodes army to use as warhounds.
