Staying the same.

Fortress isn't a re-release. Just going back into stores as stock.

What we should get is a nice shiny box of new and improved plastic Empire Knights instead of some "upgrade" to the current donkey riders. Everyone has these nice impressive & large mounts lately while Karl Franz's guys still have to settle for the inhabitants of Altdorf's petting zoo.

Not the most spectacular stuff, but I'll want the Snotlings anyway

$1,000,000 and a 50% discount

I have to say: Disappointed with the KotBS release. I mean there could be a little more to it than sticking 5 slightly different GMotBS shields in the pack and some average looking heads. Hell, I would only ever get this if it came included for FREE in the Empire Knights sprue because it ain't worth another 35% on top of that for absolutely no bearing on the rules apart from fluff, and anyone doing that would have had to have bought the GMotBS for another 45% before getting the KotBS upgrade sprue, and them get the command sprue on top of that.

All up for a single unit of 8 you're paying (with the GMotBS) £39 or more than DOUBLE the original Empire Knight box cost. After that you're stuck with 2 unused shields and heads

I don't get how the megaforces didn't sell? Marine one was sold out everywhere when I went to get it.

It's not that they "didn't sell", it's that they "sold too well".

Why would anyone buy a Battleforce or individual boxes, when you can just get a Megaforce?

Because its a limited offer. Push the "oh no it might sell out" factor like they do for all their 'limited releases"

Like the apoc special releases, can't say I've seen any battle company boxes for awhile.

I like these little "for fun" sculpts. They look like they'd be fun to paint for a gift, or just for the display shelf. Those knight upgrade kits are nice too, but nothing that really pops at me.

I agree... more bits and odds and ends or singles would be nice.

This is a good idea.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Can't speak for GW shops proper, but the webstore sold out of their "bundle deals" pretty damn fast for Apocalypse and the like.

Actually, they can.

One refers to the megaforces, the other to the strikeforce sets.

Knights are okaaaay, as said overpriced and only for someone who actually likes the fluff behind them.

Tournament Results:

Throne of Skulls (Jan 2012) 5/0/0
X Legion (Feb 2012) 3/1/2 13/40
6th ed score: (15/2/3)
Chaos New Codex: (9/2/1)
Dark Eldar & GK: (0/0/0)

I don't collect WFB as yet, but I quite like the idea of upgrade addition packs or new regiment upgrades, especially if it's fluff related.

They can't take all that long to produce and get onto the shelves, it enables people to customise their armies in a way that isn't just painting different colours and it extends the life of what could just be a standard box of soldiers or the like.

Being able to purchase a standard box of whatever and then being able to decide which faction/regiment etc you want them to belong to and have the correct standards, shields, weapons etc to go along with it is a great idea.

I hope GW do much more of this stuff.

Grots being objectives could get very confusing since grots are so often used for claiming objectives!

At the time of posting the Knights aren't up yet, although you can see that the Gui le Gros and the Imperial Commander model are now both available to order as part of the "citadel hall of fame" or classics range.

About time if you ask me, the plastic commander you can build from the command squad kit is nothing compared to this model.

Does anyone have any idea when the guard commander is coming out? It doesn't say on the uk website and I can't find it anywhere else.

Cheers, time to update my wishlist and send it out.

In doing so I came across these guys that I'd totally forgotten about, the new metal grots models seem quite cheap compared to these ones;

reds8n, do you happen to know if the Cadian Commander is a splash rerelease or a permanent part of the Classis catalogue?

Should be permanent.

They don't really do "splash" classic rereleases from what I've seen.
