I have managed to finish one of my Jetbikes. I have kept the colour scheme relatively simple, I've been debating whether or not to have a black lline next to the orange on the hulls but cant decide. The stripes were achieved by simply using masking tape to make two even lines then paining in between. The rider had a head swap with a guardian as I really dont like the head the bikers come with, they look very generic. The other bikers have also had head swaps and one has an arm swap to give the models some extra character. I may also add something to the bases as the large flying bases allow for more happening. The squad willbe at varying heights and one the shuriken and viper are added will provide some much needed mobility.

Im glad my colour scheme is popular and that it is inspiring you to get back painting eldar! thanks alot for your comments they do provide motivation.

Yea it's official, I'm coming to your house, cutting off your hands and surgically grafting them to my arms... jerk!

those bikes are lethal, I don't think a black line is required. They look amazing as is, Black might make them look more akin to jack-0-lanterns, or orange bumble bees

Sorry for the lack of updates but I haven't been able to do much do to a broken wrist. It kind of puts any painting on hold. I have almost finished the jet bike squad however I got distracted converting some Howling Banshee from the Dark Eldar Wychee set. I am going to attempt to model them as dynamic as possible. This first ine is the test model and one of the least dynamic. I had to make the models look more Eldar so added the obvious gem stones and loin cloth and also added more hair all with green stuff. Im not sure about the Banshee mask but not sure how i can improve it. Ideally I would have sculpted a full Banshee mask to cover the entire face but my green stuff skills are not up to it at the minute.

i hope you like them and the rest of the squad will follow as and when they are painted.

Finished two more Banshee's. One of them has been converted so it looks like she is leaping over a fortification. This has turned out quite well and I intend to do some more of the squad in these sort of poses as it will add some indiviuality. I havent painted the eyes yet as I am waiting to buy a better detail brush. I was worried that the squad would look like Wyches painted white but the minor conversions make them look Eldar enough and as a squad they will blend into the army nicely.

I've been looking at the forge world Avatar but might have to put it off until I have some more troop choices painted up otherwise I willl never get them!

Been a while since my last post but I've managed to get 2 more Jetbike squads finished. Used some parts from the Wyches sprue to add chains to the shuriken cannon guardians. Not to impressed with these guys on the gaming table so far but time will tell. until we get more troop choices they will have to play!
Did head swaps on all the riders and added shuriken cannons from my wave serpent spares. Was a relatively simple conversion. Also used a lighter to melt some of the flying bases to add some variation to the squads. Overall I'm happy with how these guys turned out but im glad I wont have to paint anymore in the near future as those large areas of white are a nightmare.

I have also completed a Web Spinner. I really like the new turret design and was torn between whether to have a fire prism or a Spinner but opted for the spinner based on the face my regular opponent plays Tyranids....and so far it hasnt disappointed. Anyone who faces hordes on a regular basis should get one of these. The Dangerous terrain tests really start killing units when its applied to units of 15+.
As far as the painting goes I have kept the design relatively similar to my wave serpent but with a web free hand on the hull. Im not that happy with it and will change it when I have the time.

I have more things almost finished and I will post them as soon as they are ready including a seer council and I also have something from forge world soaking in soapy water as we speak......

A little late but I wanted to add some positive feedback on your Banshees: those girls look great! The poses and the masks are both really nice, and much better than the current metals. May I make one suggestion? For a bit of continuity, consider copying some of the "dancer" poses from the classic 2nd ed. Goodwin sculpts, particularly the ones standing straight up on one leg with the other cocked behind and sword raised overhead. That would put your conversions over into truly epic territory.

Everything else looks great too- the Yme-Loc scheme looks really good on larger flat areas like vehicle fuselages.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Nice paint scheme you have going on there, white and orange seem to go really well on Eldar.

Keep up the good work!

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Looking good. The mottled orange on the spinner looks interesting, but the paint does look a little thick - perhaps thin it a little with water (and flow aid if you have any) to get a smoother application.

Have to agree that white and orange look good on Eldar.

Here are the rest of my finished Banshee's and the remaining three I still need to finish. The three I still need to paint are in the leaping poses mentioned above.

Silver, I do water down the white and it usually takes 3-4 layers to get a smooth finish. The photo quality doesnt help. They do look smoother in real life.
