hmm maybe it's a malcador with an inferno gun (inferno gun referring to the flame weapon of the warhound titan)

its some kind of fuel cell/tank on the back, so could be a flamer/chemical thrower or to power a rock drilling type thing? (the DoKK have a drill thing they can follow cant they?)

This is how the WW2 Churchill flamer tank looked like:

So a Malcador flamer tank seems likely (even if the exhaust pipe on the trailer doesn't make sense).

Would such a gun make a Malcador useful? Very doubtful.

Would such a gun make the Malcador any less of a complete fething bitch to put together? Definitely not.

Whoever had the bright idea to combine "fiddly Leman Russ tracks" with "resin" and "super glue" needs to be SHOT.

you say this but Malcadors are awesome
and Inferno guns makes them better.

I love the Valdor, if it's anything like that it will be amazing. You've got to love it really, 50's b-movie lasers and now maybe massive flamers

They look cool - I get that. I think the Malcador looks great and the only reason I don't have any is due to the aforementioned FW brainfart that resulted in "plastic tracks" + "super glue & resin!". I have similar units though, and I love my trio of Macharius'. But I don't kid myself into thinking these units are any good. They're not competitive units, they are simply there to be taken if you like them, not because you expect to win with them.

Isn't that the case with most, if not all of FW's stuff they bring out under their own rules?

i'm not a fan of the malcador (too retro interwar looking for my tastes) but the macharius definitely is my favorite of all the superheavies. for a while, i considered getting one as a stand-in for the baneblade but i eventually got a baneblade in a trade instead. the twin-vanquisher version has a particularly fearsome look (and has the old vanq rules that makes them useful unlike the current codex ones).

Malcodile, definitely.

Seconded on the Macharius. I've been itching for one of those since the Vulkan MB one dropped.

For those of you looking for last minute SlaveToDorkness gift ideas...

I've got one of each Macharius, and the Vulkan one is very cool.

I really wish FW would sell the Macharius turrets separately. I'd love another Vanq and Vulk turret... but don't need two more Macharius hulls. The turrets also fit on the old Russ chassis. They're huge, almost as big as the Russ' hull, but if you want a homebrew Russ with a massive turret and two Vanquisher cannons, it can be done.

you may have to throw in some lead balls into the hull to keep it from tipping over though with those long guns! as for the turrets, i think they realize that they'd lose out on some full kit sales as someone could buy one macharius hull and get 3 turrets to get their fix instead of two or three kits to satisfy their cravings for superheavies. they already assume FW customers are made of money (see their pricing habits) and that another $150-$200 is a drop in the bucket for your already $200+ order.
