I wish people were more realistic. There's a difference between "Hey this would make a nice battleforce" and "Hey let's see how much we can cram into a box herp derp"

hence my advocation for a complete 1k army in every Battleforce box.

even if some were more expensive then others it would be fine, but as it stands the Battleforces are a complete chambles in term of unit quality and cost savings.

So... only one troops choice, a transport you won't use, and lots of small, overpriced kits? Replace the Retributors with a combined 5 Dominion / 5 Retributor kit, and the MPP Canoness with a Celestian squad, and you're getting somewhere.

I like to see battleforces as seeds to bigger armies, not necessarily something you'd field by itself.

For instance, a stompy Ork battleforce:
Big Mek with KFF
20 boyz
3 kans
deff dread

Or a mechdar force:
10 dire avengers
farseer
wave serpent
viper

Or DE:
archon
10 warriors
5 incubi
raider
venom

3 Squads 6 noises with sonic weaponry enough to equip whole squad, 6 rhinos 2 defilers 3 squads 5 havoks with full weapons complement of 4 ac or 4 las for each, 5 bikers biker lord

Take the Tau battleforce. Replace the stealth suits with battlesuits. Replace the gun drones with either a broadside or two, or a hammerhead. Just for pure wishes, maybe an extra squad of fire warriors?

Aside from the extra squad, I am only asking for replacements (okay, hammerhead for 6 gun drones is a large replacement). Even if it was just one broadside (which the internets would complain about ), that'd be a great battleforce. Tau already has a pretty good one.

The only logical thing of the top of my head I can thing of that could realistly happen is replace the sentinal in the IG BF with a Russ or a chimera.

(2x) 10 man assault squad with melta bombs and chaplains(with jump pack)
(2x) 10 man assault terminator squad with lighting and thunderhammers
(3x) Ironclad dreadnoughts with drop pods
(3x) Landspeeders with melta's and assault cannons
(2x) Tactical Squads with drop pods
(1x) Devestator Squad with plasma cannons and heavy bolters
(1x) 10 man scout sniper squad with telion

And through in marneus calgar just for fun... not sure the total point value of all this... but i would like to field it in a game to see how it does. Any thoughts on this?

This could even could be possible

Chaos Daemons:
3x Bloodcrushers
10x Bloodletters
10x Pink Horrors
1x Daemon Prince / 5x Steed of Slaanesh / 10x Daemonettes

Even this could possible for normal battleforce price.

Mech Eldar:
5 guardian jetbikes X2,
10 dire avengers,
2 wave serpents,
1 fire prism (for the anti-tank factor)

Black Templars:
10 man crusader squad X2,
X3 upgrade sprues,
rhino/razorback,
5 scouts w/ options for cc weapons, or shotguns

I think these are pretty resonable.
