well .. its an upgrade sprue(s) not a complete unit and your only paying 20.00 ... getting bases isnt too bad

It was intended to be added to the regular 10 man tactical squad, to convert it to DA marines. The upgrade pack isnt complete, you need the bases and many other parts from the tac squad box to make complete marines.

I was under the interperation that the box OP posted was able to be built into 10 fully functioning robe marines without the bases. There are ten legs/ backs right?

Edit: There are enough bits on the sprue to build 10 marines with everything except special weapons and bases. Everything else is right there though.

Yeah but it's not. It has full models on there. It's as much an upgrade sprue as the Space Wolf one is - it has 10 complete guys in there. It's not like the BT sprue that just has torso fronts.

seems like you could, assuming you had a bunch of leftover special weapons and stuff, make a robed army pretty cheaply.

Yeah I just meant not a complete unit in terms of bases and heavy/special weapons.

I would also recommend getting bases from thewarstore, you can get a bag of x20 of the 25mm bases for 3.99

It seems that it has been pulled from the GW catalog. I am having difficulty ordering any of the dark angels bits.

It seems to be reduced to 1 frame now. I think GW now prowls Dakka to stifle any good deals we get from them.

However they likewise reduced the price down to about 50%, so it's not entirely unreasonable.

Come on HBMC, really? You are complaining that an upgrade sprue gives you too many bits. Sometimes it's okay to like things GW does.

wow they jacked the US price up higher than the CAD price. We use to get 2 frames for 30, now 1 frame for 16. You guys kinda went from 20 to 13.25 for the same deal ._.

Well 2 sprues at 26.50 is better (slightly) still than the 37.25 you pay for a full tactical squad, assuming you can find the bits (bases + special/heavy weapons) somewhere else cheap...

Slighty OT, anyone know of a good bits seller in the US?

for canadians it's only a meager 2 dollar increase overall, so it's not that bad. however it does make the Veterans box alot more appealing (it comes with two sprues for what is effectively less cost for the second sprue).
