I've actually gone a rather cheeky route. Rather than have two different models for the two different Tycho profiles I have opted to model/paint my own Tycho a little differently.

As seen his base armor colour is all gold - this allows me to use the "default" Tycho profile as all gold is quite obviously not Death Company. However, as you can also see I have included both a shouldpad and kneepad from the Death Company into the build. These will be painted in the typical black/red scheme and will allow me the option of delcaring Tycho to be his "Death Company" profile at the start of games. Two birds with one stone, no?

The combimelta in that painting also has a telescopic sight that is completely blocked by the bead...

..and I am glad the model has not. Great work.

Heh, welll, it is not the style I prefer, but aside from that, it is certainly quite good - with the exception of a few logical flaws.

Nah, I think I am just envious of people who play BA because I started collecting a DIY chapter just half a year before the new codex and now I do not want to collect two SM armies, so I must sit here and look at all those beautiful red and gold miniatures and weep. And this poor piece of art gets all my fury heaped upon it.

The sculpting looks brilliant and hope the finished product will be just as brilliant and is looking like it will. Cant wait to see the finished model!

Ok so spent a couple hours painting Tycho, got a lot of his detail work done - not all though. I've tried to get him mostly done for a little friendly BA vs BA skirmish i'm having at my LGS tomorrow.

So here is what I have done so far. The pictures don't looks great - that's mainly due to my crappy 1 lamp lighting setup, gonna go buy another lamp tomorrow after my game so hopefully future pictures should improve.

Awesome. Can't wait to see you make Mephiston. (The metal model is really crappy IMO)

Just to let you guys knows Tycho is almost finished - College work is taking priority though, I should have him posted in a couple days.

I'm also working on Corbulo and Pedro Kantor too now (Mephiston was put on hold till I get more bits). Will be posting the Corbulo blog up soon.
