I'll look into it next time I go to a crafts store or Wal-Mart.
I'm currently out of town.

Also... Update for Jan 15

I will devote this week to painting.
So I'll have the sorcerer and the champion done.

That new picture of the Juggernaut really does it justice. Fantastic. Eager to see the sorcerer and champion done.

Hey TS! Wanted to do this for you a while ago but I just got the chance. I took one of the photos of your Khorne Lord and adjusted the white balance amongst other minor tweaks. It's a nice figure so I thought people should have a chance to see it without the yellow cast to everything. You can copy it out of my gallery into yours if you want.

I see... I'll compare. Really all I see is a bluish tint over a yellow tint. Seems like preference, but thanks Git.

You're right, must have gotten a little overzealous. Set the background to a neutral white rather than a bluish white. Guess it didn't change your picture all that much... go figure. Must be all the red and gold!

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Since I always use white paper and have the light hit the paper so bring out the model.
So the flash must have reflected the shine from the washes and blends from all the metallic paints.

Using the white paper is a good idea, it's just that you're camera isn't set to understand that the incandescent light hitting your white paper doesn't actually produce a white color... so the camera "sees" the color of the white paper under the lights... which is yellowish rather than white.

It also shows on the LCD a beautiful picture, then when I see it get taken, it produces yellow. So I'm like O:< Bad camera

You are getting very nice vibrancy from your colors, were I to make one suggestion, it would be to transition your midtone a bit more. Were you to blend up from a dark brown to your mid rid, an wash with blacks, I think you would get a bit more definition out of the armor plates and details.

Overall, very nice though!

Mostly, on my phone.

This looking really impressive: neat, clean, yet grim at the same time. Be watching this blog with interest.

Thank you very much. I'm doing assembly for the rest of my models for my campaign currently. However I'll finish the Sorcerer this week for sure.

Just discovered this- you work fast! That juggernaut is excellent, and I can't believe you tackled one of the largest models in your army as the first to paint!

Fantastic . Also, I love snow-themed WoC, it just enhances their already "tough as nails" vibe.

I agree with RiTides. You do an excellent job and get it done fast. Good for you, I am impressed. I also agree with the snow theme.

Thanks I did that at like 6AM-8AM I was up with a friend playing fantasy and we're like lets paint.

So there you have it. Now I need to do the Champion of Khorne... or play Day of Defeat: Source both are tempting. O:

Update: Jan-25

The Champion of Khorne is pretty much done.

However, if I continue to paint I will be left short with some colors.

I must restock.

These are looking great so far, very good work with the reds, they are an awkward colour to get right.

The new base for the juggernaut looks much better now you've got some extra colours on there. Could you introduce some snow effect and mud onto the jugger's legs to show that he's actually moving through the snow/mud? Currently he is looking rather clean

That makes me wonder how you could simulate frost on bits of the armour too... I sense an experiment coming on when I get home...

I would do it to the Juggernaut. But I don't want to ruin the model ya know?

Updated Feb-05 '11

Been thinking on what to paint next.

What do you want to see?

A Special Character or a Unit?

Characters: Archaon, Bloodthirster, Galrauch.

Unit: Marauders, Warriors, Knights.
