Its funny, my group always jokes about how GW just makes up space football teams and thats how SM chapters are born. Yet everytime I see someone actually paint there army in a football team theme, it actually fits lol.

LoL thats how I always kind of viewed the chapters in a way. I mean take away some of the extra words out in names like Raven Guard, Doom Eagles, Hawk Lords, Celestial Lions, etc and you got the Ravens, Eagles, (sea)Hawks, and Lions. lol like I said Space Marines are pretty much football players, I can just imagine them saying "Where do I shoot now coach," as I play them on the field .

Lol I actually titled the captain in my command squad "Carsonis Palmar" originally but after this last season, I changed the fluff so that he died in battle (gloriously of course lol). I'm sure you can imagine why.

Heheh I'm actually trying to encourage people at my local Gamesworkshop that if they don't have an idea for a color scheme for their Marines that they should use their football team's colors. Just want to justify playing so many Marine players lol.

I actually thought about that when I painted the Thundershields. It reminded me of it a bit especially since the shield is in the shape of the california choppers symbol.

Btw I finished my Ironclad Dread, I'll be posting a pic of it tomorrow. Hope you guys like it =D!

The photos really hide the detail but I drybrushed a little silver all over it for a rusty look. Anyways hope you like them =).

But seriously, they look fantastic. It's a really eye-catching colour scheme, and you've pulled it off well. The iron-clad dread pics look really good- I do love that model.

DAAA BENGALS!!!! Too bad this season was a bust :( Became a fan when they had Corey Dillion and I've been let down ever since haha.

Yeah thanks, the orange can be a pain in the butt though. They require a lot of coats and then, I'm not sure if you can see it on their helmets, I paint tiger stripes on those too which are often pretty tedious because you want to get them sharp and not just a blob of black on orange lol.

Really well done. The colour scheme is great, it is really clean and you do a great job. The tank looks awesome with the freehand and the dreadnaught look great.

yeah my dad's been a long time bengals fan, got into them when I saw my first game in 03 when they faced the Chargers in San Diego and beat them. Yeah they've been dissapointing for the most part for me too but hey it comes with the territory =P. lol

Hehe thanks, the paint is a little messier in person, the blurry camera hides a lot of the scuff I have on them but for the most part I have kept them clean yes =).

Yeah but I like priming my models black because I like dark colors. Besides most of the model is black anyways, makes things easier that way lol.

You've done a fantastic job. Makes me want to paint up and Eagles themed army.

Yep lol, it seemed appropriate when I made the fluff for them. I don't hate the Browns nearly as much as I hate the Steelers .
