Personally can't stand the wolves. They don't look lupine at all. A wolf is a stalker, a hunter. They should look fierce yet graceful.

I'm not a fan of the "wolves" either. As noted, they just don't look like wolves.

That being said, they do look like pretty fierce non-lupine alien monsters, so they may feel more realistic and cooler to some tastes.

Like the turrets/gun platforms quite a bit.

i've got some other wolfs, they come in sets of 5 different ones , 140US,

they come with riders legs sculpted on back, you just need torso arms etc.

They have some other nice bits on there too. The Thermic Guns (£2.60 for 3!) look quite like the RT era ones from Forgeworld. Very useful for Guard vets.

The things I do for you guys...

They were on ebay auctions for the same pieces (not worth it though, actually 16 bucks vs 11 at the store!)

The wolves remind me of the Aliens from the Movie Critters.

Have to say.. those wolves are butt ugly.

As I predicted, half love half hate... It really seems to boil down to whether we think of Twolves as Terran analogues, or as the 'There are no wolves on Fenris' not wolf kind. To each their own, at least the turrets seemed like a good find!

On the wolves though I like them, they represent another branch of Lupine development. As you say there are supposed to be dozens of varieties of wolf on Fenris.

The wolves look too distorted for my taste, like they crushed headon into a wall.

That one looks a lot better from other angles, more 'Rawr', less 16 year old taking a picture next to his Grandma lol.

Note the hands and feet as nods to the 'There are no Wolves on Fenris'

Finally wolves that look like the ones in the codex and not just giant wolves.

Really nice find, thanks! They also have "thermic guns" that look great and are pretty darn cheap!

And I just ordered two of the Heavy Flamer turrets, along with one of the las/plas turrets. I'll review them when they get here.

Great stuff though, might actually get some of the turrets.

They look much larger. The twin gatling also looks like its... drooping?

I like the wolves and REALLY like the guns.

All things considered they are called Thunderwolf Cavalry, and at that size stealth can't exactly be taken into the equation. I prefer this bulky variety to the myriad of not-quite-right oversized wolf models, it fits more with the current Canis model than attempting to trim down the muscle.

In additona, trying to wrangle one of those suckers as a SW would earn you a lot more respect than most other smaller TC options out there.

i like the guns but the wolves look like the creatures from Willow which even though I loved that movie the creatures where slowed looking.

You can never go back. I remember watching that when I was young and thinking "cool beasts". Then I watched it with the kids...and my daughter said "Look you can see the make up backpacks slipping off those dogs.....hahahaha."

I guess CGI has gotten a bit better as I've aged. Maybe one day her kids will watch Avatar and laugh.
