Every campaign will have a part where you are in the sewers.
Summoning spells are generally more hassle than they're worth.
Gods are, frankly, a pain in the arse in pretty much every setting.

We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Lesson #1: Do not blast the Ghost in his Ghost-Junk. You don't like groin injuries and neither do they, particularly when you're pointing your wand at their ghostly tenderbits.
Lesson #2: If you have a magic crotch that can awaken dead bodies and bring forth their spirit, always remember to zip up your fly.
This bit just had me actually rolling on the floor laughing my head off.

Never leave your player sheet behind. The other players know how to use it [as a meatshield].
Do not kill big monsters to quickly. The DM hates it when you do that. An angry DM=a pile of dead PC's.

Never trust the Redcap.
never say the phrase "wouldn't it be funny"
never use russian roulette as a way to get information. it always goes the way of "kiss kiss bang bang".
never make a character with family unless you are okay with them dying horrible, horrible deaths.
never try to break stereotypes. fate hates that gak, and will make you look stupid.

Whilst overall your dice rolls will balance out, it will not happen in the same session.
.. or perhaps even with the same character.
Farmers spend most of their time hanging out in bars, on the off chance that people will wander in and be willing to kill things for money.
Powerful NPCS are always far too busy to get involved in whatever is going on. However this only applies to good ones, as evil ones are constantly plotting, scheming and slaying things. Basically they might be bad, but they do have work ethic.

1) Do not split the party.
2) Do not proceed without a fighter.
3) Do not attempt to fly through an asteroid field.
4) Do not combine any of the above.
5) When one of your party members is riding a flying monster, and you are not, give him your ring of featherfall.
6) When a player leaves to become DM, do not dump his character in a shallow grave.
7) Do not attempt to escape enemy ranged weapons by climbing.
I saw all of those in one game session. Except #6. That was just bad karma.

The Heavy Bolter kills all.
Come Horde or Hive Tyrant, Plague Marine or Ogryn, Daemon Prince or Greater Daemon - the Heavy Bolter stands king above all.
And ruins the damned game...

never let the warlock be the first inside of a door, especially knowing that its a fight, and the DM LOVES to have mobs flank doors...
Leave the gazebo alone.
If the wizard and rogue run away.. run with them. Even if its the MO of the wizard player to joke about surrendering at the beginning of a fight, and "offering parlay and truce". Also, same wizard player would conduct "scientific experiments" on the corpses when the rest of the party wasnt looking, if you catch my meaning

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

Whilst lightsabers can, technically, cut through anything, hitting the target can be annoyingly awkward.
Grappling is always more hassle than it's worth.

I suppose it depends on the type of grappling we are talking about. Is this an opposed STR or CHA roll?

..are you sure you're in the right thread with that last comment ?
The longer you spend crafting a truly memorable and evil foe for your players, the quicker he will die like a punk with bad/awesome dice rolls and the less your players will care.
They will however develop a permanent and unforgiving grudge agaisnt a minor NPC -- say a barman or a town guard -- they encounter early on in ther careers.
There is no way to change this, just roll with it.
