Except in every single one of your last batch of pics where it's a pot of Dwarf Flesh...

Yes, only 6. I counted, Snot Green in 7.

So, given that you were working off pre-built models and they're not really posed for a very dramatic diorama are you going to be creating a "scene" or make it a sort of classic Badab War poster in mini form, maybe with little name plates stating each chapter and their time of involvement in the war.

So, here is my (hopefully non-enraging) Salamander

My Fire 'I never Want to paint Bleached Bone armor ever again' Angel

And the Son of Medusa

(and a comparison pic to show the two greens)

What do you guys think?
And Lenny, did I get the skin tone right?

Also, another quiz.

What GW color is almost every chest-eagle?

Very nice minis bBL and yes the skin is very non-enraging. Also top job on the chapter badges. With the highlights on the salamander's backpack though I would just go back and try to thin the lines a touch.

Good job overall the project is going well indeed. I look forward to the completed article.

Good idea, I can barely highlight black without the grey being too thick.

But, I'm throwing this out there, your post has my pet-peeve. You wrote bBL instead of BBL. I forgot to capitalize battle because I was typing too fast, and the account was made before I noticed the error.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Have you tried pm'ing lego or yak to fix it for you? Not sure if they can but never hurts to ask (well, it could, but doubtful in this case)

Another great idea. I'm going to go try that
Also, other than a Fire Hawk for Gits, what should I paint next?

You should never expose weaknesses like that BBL

3 things:

Salamanders had sort of patterned armour back then I think and 2 your bases aren't helping but I guess the minis will be pinned to a base?

3rd: Great job - looking forward to the finished product!

Okay, they all look great, but I have one complaint. Though it is open for discussion, Salamanders are supposed to have LITERALLY Black skin. Like Chaos Black. NOT African American (though that's how I'm painting my chapter; I hate painting flesh tones so pale). At least, that's how GW shows it... especially in the 'dex.

They looks great otherwise! I love the ANgel of fire- the time was worth it.

BBL - hold me back, I'll, I'll....

phew! I'm calm...

I think the lack of black skin is down to me LITERALLY hating that bit of fluff
I think I may have put him off following his intended scheme with my earlier tirade.

Actually, I wanted to try to paint the dark skin tone. Also, red eyes be damned. (aka: I forgot to paint them red. Besides, normal eyes look better)

Ow, man ,didn't know you felt that way. I always though it looked kinda cool... and it's an excuse for me to be lazy. But whatever.

I really love the salamander green; it looks great!

Nah I'm not really that up tight about it, but I do consider it a bit weak. Black skin red eyes just never did it for me.

I was only messing with you

So far, he is probably my favorite I have painted.

I think there's another reason why... but anyways.

Nice to see you got your name fixed!

And also, I like the group shot. Can you give us an idea on their posing?

They don't look too good in person lol
I think the Excorcist's lenses are the best

Hmm, for posing? Grouped up in semi squads with the 4 traitors in the center back to back
