Missed that, but it just makes it more painfully obvious that a plastic ushabti (also bone giant) kit is so imminent it hurts

One of the most consistent rumors was that we'd see a construct hero at the very least, and I guess that turned out to be the necrotect? Pity, I too was interested in having a third option for an MI army, apart from OK () and Throgg WoC. Though maybe that was the point, to keep OK unique? Cause they don't got much else going for them

Maybe, but I was thinking more like Throt(who allows up to 2 ROgre units as Core) at the very least. So sad that Ramhotep doesn't give the option, guess I'll just have to make Skeleton counts as Constructs or Skeletal Clay Warriors.

Heavily, sadly. It doesn't look like it at a glance, but right now whatever you want to do with your Ushabti, you can have another unit to do it better for comparable point value (this is mosty from analizing the data, no real battlefield test yet). Tomb Guards are just a better choice overall (more wounds per points with same T, same save, and a bonus parry save or S5 at I value, and more importantly, are healable), and if you really want some punch, Necro Knights are just much better than Ushabti for that.

Ushabti and Scorpion so far looks to have taken the heavier nerf, nearly to the point of uselessness (no surprise that we didn't get new modes). The bow Ushabti looks like a quick job to get the new option available (all the same body I think, with some head variant, a far cry to the plastic kit people expected). They can join the Skeleton Horsemen (formerly Heavy Horesemen) into the "will barely see the battlefield" club.

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Tyranids army - Ever evolving, but about 10k pts
Custodes - 3,500pts (Fully painted yay!)
Thousand Sons - 4,000 pts
Eldar - 3,000pts

I like the new tomb sphinx / necrosphinx models a lot, also the stalkers/knights are awesome. Not so sure about the tomb guard, guess i'll make my final decision when i see them for real.

Ushabti got a little nerfed, but not to badly.
i like the many new characters you can use.
stone shaper gives the ushabti (and any other construct) their 5+ Sv withing 12" of the model and any unit he's with hatred. very nice for a hero model.

Herald that can take wounds intended for TK/TP.

Tk Ws6 that can be used for the unit he's with. expect units of tomb guard with TK and Shaper for a Ws6, S5(halberds) re-roll to hit with killing blow. pretty nasty.

Khemrian magic that every time you get a spell of any unit within 12" of the caster can resurrect d3 models/wounds.

no new bone giant model yet, but with the collossus/hierotitan expect a new dual model kit to arrive in the 2nd wave, maybe i'll convert one from the necrophinx.
giant now has dual weapons/GW/Bow options. moving bolt thrower seems like a nice option especially are they count no modifiers for shooting. not sure what the giants Bs is.

all in all i think they got more of a boost than a nerf treatment, the new choices will need to be tested to see how effective they're gonna be. but i like what i've seen so far, enough to de-mothball my TK army after 7 years.
