Soo my attempt at ebay auctioning did not go well at all, I re-listed with more pictures! hopefully that was my problem. Ive been a little preoccupied with the newest addition to the family seen here with the little death korp i could dig up.

Hey guys! Im counting down the days to graduation and i've been passing the time with skaven, I cannot find any of my krieg gaurdsmens rifles so i may be out of luck with that for now, also a quarter master i painted last year appears to be missing with them I thought I'd post some WIP shots of the most recent clanrat regiment i've taken on let me know what you guys think!

Love your Hell Pit Abomination and the selection of new colors you've added to your clanrats. They definitely have a "horde" feel to them.

I like the way that the Clan rats don't seem to have a uniformed sense to them. They just seem like a ragtag band of rats grouped together charging at the foe!

How is your HPA size wise to the original? It looks massive!

I like the varied clothes colors in your clanrats (do skaven wear clothes or just rags? )

I think your facial highlights are pretty extreme, IMHO, on both Calgar and Draigo. Ever think about toning it down?

my abomb is only slightly bigger than the original model :O! and my recipe for flesh does seem to take a pretty extreme approach to highlighting skintones it would be fun to mix it up a bit

Great work on Azhag, that is such a cool model. I'm guessing you don't have the Finecast version Hopefully pinning and such wasn't a problem.

I'm loving your Great Pox sculpt! The facial proportions really are disturbing (ala Prime12357). He seems a bit stubby, though. Have you thought about adding a little body length?

Thanks! and the portions are changeling, as it is right now he is exploding off his base.. I still have a lot to do with the legs, I'm not sure how much i could add to the body length without making it too large! and yes that is not the finecast azhag...

Thanks! I love sculpting, but I've been doing it for a while I think the key to green stuff is to use water, especially if you are using metal tools.

I must say I'm very much enjoying your thread. Skaven, Azhag...a fellow hobbiest after my own heart. Everything is absolutely beautifully painted btw.

Is there a battle standard bearer in your skaven army? Always keen to see a unique one

The screaming bell was one of the first skaven models i purchased, I lost a lot of the parts and just last night discovered most of them. originally intended to have two rat ogres pushing the bell from behind, but do to the size of the base and the amount of modeling needed to make it happen I decided to put skaven slaves in their place. the Old warpfire cannon pushers were excellent for it along with a single shield barrier from the jazziel kits I put a number of the newer plastic models in between the older metal models to give it more of the pushed into battle vibe, I constructed the base of cork sheets, I highly recommend this to anyone working with a larger model it really does help build some character. Along with the bell I built 40 skaven slaves, I'll probably build another 40 with the remaining clan rat bodies I have left so I can get this army finished up and ready to sell. Let me know what you guys think, you can expect some painting in progress pictures of the bell later tonight!




yes i know i really need to find that rat ogres hand.

Digging the base on that bell. It makes the model look even more dynamic. You can almost feel the bell swing back and forth.

Wow the vermin lord, hell pit abomination and riding beast and the rest of the skaven are great. I feel sad that you're going to be auctioning off though....mind you turning an army into drinking money for college is a worthy cause.

Dammit I missed this thread for the last two and a bit months. Well now I've found it I'll keep on checking in. I'm also looking forward to what you'll come up with for Pimp my Sorcerer 40K.

heyo guys, I just ordered a cockatrice and some other goodies online! I've been working on my skaven slaves.............. its going by painstakingly slow but after they are done most of my core units will be completed !!!!!

My goal for today was to finish the slaves! and I am soo close one more rank and they will be done thank god, then I'll try to finish up the bell tonight. After a lot of thought I am going to officially begin offering my painting services, which i would like to continue doing while i am in college to help keep up a steady cash flow I will have more information on a blogspot account which will be up in the next few days if any ones interested. Im planning on keeping pricing relatively cheep because I enjoy it so much! well here are the slaves!

Hey guys a little something just came in the mail..



This is my first experience with finecast and Honestly I am quite pleased! there were no bubbles or major casting errors to my surprise, Im planning on turning the cockatrice into a lord of change... but we'll see how that goes. On top of that I got Lysander and the new grasshopperesque tzeentch sorcerer for Panics Contest!
